Weekend CU & USC predictions?

Stoudt would be fine though he’d be more of a manager type QB.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

When you say coming next year, are they at clemson just redshirted. Or in HS and committed.

He is a senior in high school. Been committed to us for over 2 years. Broke all the Georgia HS passing and rushing records mid way through is junior year.

Check him out. Would think he will be the real deal.

I doubt he will beat out Kelly & Stoudt because its not easy to pick up Chad Morris’s playbook that quickly. If, of course, Chad Morris is still here next year which I think is 50/50.

This is big question. If I’m him and I have Heisman type QB that will be leaving and a game manager behind him, I’m gone. I only say that because the iron will not get much hotter than this year, so strike while the iron is hot.

Personally, with the arm that Taj has, I’d never run that guy. Clemson doesn’t need to and I don’t understand why they do it. They could win without running him, so why risk it?

I cringe when Conner Shaw runs the ball. Its a gamble every time. We do have a decent backup but that’s not the point. Look at how Jeff Driskel at Florida broke his leg in a easy hit against Tennessee. The difference is that I believe SC has to run the QB to keep defenses off balance and win games. Maybe Clemson needs to do that in the big games vs FSU and SC, but against Wake? I don’t think so. My QB wouldn’t get the call to run in that game, but as it stands, Taj will probably run the ball 8 or 9 times.

The difference I see is that Clemson calls many QB runs. I don’t think USC call the QB runs that often. But Shaw has a hard time going through the progression and results to running.

What the heck happened to Carolina? I turned it over to UGA LSU and looked at the score it was 28-25 final. When I flipped over it was 28-10. What gives???

Mike Davis fumbled on the UCF 4 yard line…cant put a game away. Should have been 35-18. Escaped with a win. I guess 170 yards rushing and 3tds make up for his 1 fumble.

Key West 1720 115 HP Johnson Saltwater.

Forgot to add that our coaching staff is utterly stupid. One of the best RB’s in college football had 5 carries in the 1st half. Gave him the ball in the 2nd half and he exploded for 3 td’s and 150 yards in the half. Feed Mike Davis the ball , Morons.

Special teams and defense are playing on reputation alone and think they don’t have to perform. That’s what’s happening. UCF’s QB can sling the ball around, but he’s certainly not the best one the gamecocks will see all year. I sure hope our secondary decides to show up and play next week.

Word is that Shaw is out for three weeks… Could be trouble.

Dude still had 40 fantasy points and one if the main reasons I’m undefeated thus far. My man crush had shifted away from clowney.

Carolina looked sloppy and confused at times. Hope Shaw’s injury isn’t to severe but to me it looked like a broken collarbone by the way he was acting.

Clemson looked dominate even if it was against Wake Forest. Kinda classless for them to have Tahj in the game up 42-7 and have him run the ball 4 times in a row just to pad his stats, but that’s another story for another thread. The coaches redeemed themselves when they tried to get the Military guy a touchdown.

Come on Fritz, do go bring up Shaw getting hurt and Clemson running the Boyd in the same post. Remember Clemson does NOT pad stats.

I still think the coaching at USC changes once they get a lead. Playing prevent is no good. They suck at it.

No, Clemson won’t cover the spread. Dabo has never been one to run up the score for style points and pollsters. He’ll get a comfortable lead then get the first string out and put in young guys to get them playing time and experience. Hopefully Bryant plays the entire game and gets those jitters out.

Just noticed Stoudt is 29 for 31 this season with 4TDS and no INT.
Granted that’s in garbage time but thats still pretty impressive.

They’re my boys but to take a knee with 1:20 Dammit is Spurrier betting against the spread?
