Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

This week is going to be one of those “we played crappy last week, let’s really blow up the scoreboard” weeks for clemson.

I hope he doesn’t do that to Grobe. Anyone else, fine. Also with Peake out, Bryant and Battle suspended, I’m not sure they can. I’ll take a four td victory and no injuries.

not sure on the clemson game. I know clemson will win but what does the team do when they have a good lead. Do they coast. do they push, do they let the 2nd string play. My guess would be they keep the 1st team in to work on their assignments and timing. Let face it the offense has not been as fast and accurate as it has been in the past.

I concur that the offense is slightly less explosive than last year…but the defense has improved a lot. Defense wins ballgames. If there ever was a year that Clemson could play for all the marbles, its this one.

I don’t know that you can say it’s not as accurate and explosive as last year. That first game was pretty dang good considering the opponent. SCSt wasn’t much to get up for, throw in all the substitutions and depth building we didn’t get much. NCSt was ready to play, on an off night, with the gremlin of being a giant slayer in that stadium of late, Clemson got it going and probably could have scored the last drive had that been the goal.

My guess is we see a completely different team this week. Focused, fast and ready to make a complete game. WF is probably going to get blown out and I could care less.

Battle was second/third string, its a loss but no big deal. Peake is going to hurt all season. Bryant is going to play but limited, not sure if that is a loss or not, he has a trouble catching passes. Williams and Hopper are going to get a workout though. Watkins should have a big day too.

Not so sure why SC fans are so worried about UCF, they’ll be jacked up but emotion doesn’t win games. USC has better talent across the board, better coaching and more speed. Barring some catastrophe it shouldn’t even be close.

These guys are going to be studs. Williams is a true freshman and the coaches have been raving about him since fall camp.

For the first time since I’ve been a Clemson fan I feel like we have quality depth at every position…well almost not enough at saftey. But both OL and DL which is key as USC’s success shows.

shevlin, really this is not a shot. Is there depth at QB? I know the 2nd QB has only played in garbage time, I dont know his name. But is he good enough to beat Maryland, FSU, USC, Miami? I have never seen him, so I don’t know.

Yeah that’s a good point Fish. Stoud is obviously no Boyd and I guess I overlooked that because not sure many team’s 2nd string QB can replace a Heisman candidate.

What year is he?
Don’t forget Lattimore was in the Heisman discussion. Anything can happen. I don’t wish that on anyone but when your coach calls QB runs when the game is in the bag, the chances get greater.

Stoud only has 1 year left after this. With Chad Kelly and Deshaun Watson coming next year (the 5 star #2 QB in HS) I feel good about our QB situation though.

Think Kelly will take the job next year because he can pass as well as Stoudt but has 4.5/4.6 speed. Dude is super fast and has been coached by his uncle Jim Kelly his whole life.

But your right anything can happen we have been blessed he has only been hurt for one game these last 2.5 years.

When you say coming next year, are they at clemson just redshirted. Or in HS and committed.

Stoudt would be fine though he’d be more of a manager type QB.

Stoudt should get plenty of playing time this weekend.

He is a senior in high school. Been committed to us for over 2 years. Broke all the Georgia HS passing and rushing records mid way through is junior year.

Check him out. Would think he will be the real deal.

I doubt he will beat out Kelly & Stoudt because its not easy to pick up Chad Morris’s playbook that quickly. If, of course, Chad Morris is still here next year which I think is 50/50.
