Came down for my annual birthday trip with the wife. I did look at the weather and what can I say—I’m a diehard. Ate breakfast and drank coffee Saturday morning waiting on the “afternoon clearing”. Hit the water at high tide and fished in the mist at the first drop. Caught three bass and missed a couple more. Sky turned blue and the wind picked up. On the third drop we proceeded to catch six more (missed several others). Wife was getting cold so we headed back in around 3. As usual, she beat me pretty good with a 22" spottail. All caught on various scented artificials. Water’s too muddy for a trout.
