Welcome to the Edisto Forum

Vasco Pickett,

Good idea for a new forum, this should be a busy place.

I agree:smiley:</font id=“Comic Sans MS”></font id=“size3”></font id=“blue”>

THANKS Vasco!

Awesome. Lets play name that spot.

Dont know what its called, but is this not the area right when you come inside the no wake zone from the public boat ramp towards the sound? p.s., when was this picture taken?

Easy too, Steamboat Landing Road and the Edisto Marina.
:sunglasses:

Is a little tougher. Is the first image the Oyster Shoals between Mud creek and St. Pierre Creek? Is the second image on the Intercoastal between the 174 bridge and the first channel marker coming down the Edisto River by the shrimp farm? Is the third image by the 174 Bridge Boat Landing?

■■■■■■■ Cut??? Governor’s Cut??? You got me on that one:face_with_head_bandage:

I know the scooter man. He knows Edisto Fishing. Do these look familiar?

Surprisingly, I have done okay around the 300 block of the front beach this past summer, just surf fishing at high tide. EF, do you remember Mr. Marion Whaley? He once said, “the best way to surf fish was to put on some hip-waders and walk out as far as you can into the surf, then turn around and face the beach, cast your rod, and fish where the waves break on the beach.”

Do these look familiar?

Edisto-fisher, I know this is a bit off subject, but in regards to the massive oyster pile in the above picture is that a public area? What I really want to know is how can I get some of those shells to use for a project I’m doing on my house here in the upstate? Are they private property, etc. etc.? Just wondering.
Thanks, Rob

eb - last set of pictures look like the end of Big Bay.

Blueline,
Those shells are part of the SC State Park system - I think they may frown upon you taking any.

Yeah, no kidding. That answers my question, thanks. Looking at the picture it just looked like a local “oyster shell disposal” site. I guess I’ll just eat a few bushels and save the shells.

I usually fish the N. Edisto and am excited about this new forum. I can’t wait until it gets warmer.
