baiting might be falling out of favor but it will always hold a special place in my heart. dad raised me cutting cane for poles and mixing dog food with pluff mud… we didn’t know much in the early days, but we figured it out.
i remember a baiting season in my 20’s where my freezer was full, my family’s freezers were full, my friends freezers were full, and i still couldn’t get enough. i have a little metal boat that has paid for itself many, many times over in shrimp, fish, and oysters, and a fiberglass family boat that will never do the same.
these days the baiting deal is about family, recreation, and tradition. i could give a damm about a cooler when this is the game we are playing. so many good memories, i can’t wait to make more this season!
Fortunately not even close to hangover. boy I’ve had some hum dingers when I was young. Can’t remember what they called it soJoe.
Korean liquor I was sick for days.
Low grade fever. Comes and goes. Sweating like a pig. Comes and goes.
The biggest thing is everything that has been broken before hurts especially my hip.
They had a memo out that service members were not allowed to drink some of the local booze. Some of that crap could make you go blind… found formaldehyde in some. I think some of my worse hang overs were from the $2.00 a gallon rum that some of the crew chiefs would bring back from puerta rico.
Not running a fever anymore. My bones still ache. Feel a little tired. But Fixing to go get some sunshine and fresh air. Going to ride the bike to the shop and wrench on a bike for a while.
I’ve never thought about grilling eggplant sounds good. Have to try it…
I’ve got two more reapers that are almost ready to pick. Think I might try to dry them.
Fortunately had not lost my taste.
