Growing up whatever mom cooked you was eating. You would clear your plate before you left the table. Or that would be your next meal. But I was never made to eat liver. Wife has to eat things high in iron. Especially a couple days before her chemo. But she likes liver. Yuck…
You remember your parents would say .oh they’re starving children all over the world that would love to have that food…
Well my little smart @$$ response was well send it to them then. Next thing I knew I was picking myself up off the floor. Never said that again!!!
Prepping for our Christmas party get together last night. Had some seared tuna, quail and fried okra.

Spiral ham and summer sausages in the fridge, oranges to squeeze… love the end of the harvest season. gonna be some hot cider and bourbon tonight against that bitter wind too.

Pecan pie I’d eat that in 1 night.
I got to have 4 or 5 beers 
in me to eat oysters. Daughter’s doing oysters for Christmas dinner / lunch.
Looks like I’ll be eating ham sandwich.
White beans kale and sausage.
I started oysters with my Dad when I was 4-5… He would shuck them striaght off the bed or pole, no crackers, no texas pete… just straight up oyster.
That white bean stuff looks pretty good!
OTC I’d eat that soup till it was gone.
Had a hambone to smoke, so I did some pecans above it with my signature nut rub.
Baked a derby pie for a cousins Christmas tonight.
