Sometimes I just have to go to the awful waffle and get country ham eggs grits and of course a pecan waffle.
I like me some awful waffle.
Back in the day that was our go-to at 03 . That way when on the roof puking at 09. And saying oh I’ll never do this again. You had something other than liquid coming out. Then you could say it must have been something I ate.
2 eggs over easy, corned beef hash with a crust, country ham, bacon and patty sausage.
Or the specialty of the house.
Scattered,covered, smothered,topped, diced, peppered,capped and chunked.

Used to fish with a guy in Morehead City. Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon trip. Fishing out of a 24-ft catamaran. Not much of a bow stayed wet all weekend. And cold. Target blue fin… if we have caught one said we would need to take it right in but we’re only 20 miles offshore. But we didn’t. Had 1 to the boat a huge shark, whacked him off right at the head. Ron yeah Captain Ron hahaha dragged it up on the boat and started hacking off meat.Tells me you don’t know what you’re missing. Said in Japan that cheek meat would sell from anywhere $100 to 1,000 a pound.
We caught a lot of fish that weekend. Wahoo, footballs, grouper, your name we had.Saturday night they were flying fish everywhere. Ron had a sheet and the light in the t-top. Hung the sheet and clip the light on the top of it. Shut off the rest of the lights. We caught a bunch of flying fish. That’s what we got the footballs and The who on.
Learned a lot from that man.
He was retired Navy. Worked as a steward on a private jet. He moved to Hawaii.

She actually ordered Liver??!!! I gave Mom all that came off the last Steer I had butchered. She loves it, not me. Had to eat it once a week when I was growing up. I guess mom and pop thought it was like medicine and would make us boys grow up big and strong. If I ever run out of food and that’s all I have, I may eat it again.
