Got a room at the Standish Motel in Standish MI. Last time I was here was almost a half century ago. Place hasn’t changed a bit.
On the way to the U.P. to visit my best friend since 4th grade. That’s the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He lives a few miles from Whitefish Point, where the Edmund Fitzgerald museum is, among many other interesting things. Lake Superior, etc.
Left Moncks Corner at 5:30am, 80°.Pulled in here at 8:30pm, 60°.

The wife and i drove through there a few years back. We spent time in Frankenmuth and Petosky and Mackinac before making our way over to Niagra. That’s a beautiful part of the country. I stuck my feet in every great lake!
Ford Museum is also pretty incredible.

Bad storm here in Orange Park, FL, near Jaxville, at my wife’s aunts place. Lots of big trees down. All neighbors are out checking on each other. Reminds me of Hugo. No injuries or major damage, thank God.
