Where did the mullet go?

Went to a creek near folly that was covered in mullet last week. Tonight there were none! Anyone have any insight?

Personally I catch less fish when the area is covered in mullet. The mullet run goes first/second week September Sullivan’s, second/third/fourth week of September folly,. Fourth week of September and first week of October Edisto. Second and third week sometimes Edisto. Then they are further south. I don’t go further then those places for the mullet run, though it happens other places. We have mullet all year though just like reds some are resident fish and don’t leave a certain area.
