I usually turn left and head to the “north” end. I have most always had plenty of room up there.

A bit of a walk, but I’ve had some good luck at the north end near the old caost guard station. Plenty of bait in the surf right now.
Andy someone must have caught all the bait myself and other CF poster were out there last week and no bait, it was weird, I think we got there a little late also, was a nice day though

hmm funny i was there last weekend too and pretty sure i saw ya hurricane. got there right at 6am, took the death march through the mosquito gauntlet, but yup other than a couple missed hits early on someone must have netted all the bait before we got there.
I’ve come to realize that Folly surf fishing is excellent at the crack of dawn, up until around noon. Then it dies down. I typically only fish Folly when high tide is early morning around 9am. Have had huge hits, misses, line breaks every time I’ve gone. I can’t remember a time going there and catching absolutely nothing.
I see this guy regularly out here, telling me he is always catching good sized black drum on shrimp, I need to find out where he is fishing haha
