who wants free fuel?

I have about 60 gallons of startron treated 3 week old fuel in my boat. i’ve been trying to run it out the last two wknds but it’s taking forever. I’m wanting to start using ethonal free, but can’t mix them together. if you have a way to get it out of the tank, please come get it. i live by the airport off Dorchester. just e-mail me.

Mixing the two fuels together helps accelerate the phase seperation process.

Wanted to add this. Star Tron treated fuel is still good to go into lawnmowers, cars/trucks and go carts. Might not be a bad time to save up some fuel in case a storm blows through. Maybe fuel for a generator or something. I have treated fuel in a generator from last year and it still runs perfect. No need to just give it away. That is a lot of money in fuel.

besides a generator, which i already have fuel for, i don’t have anywhere to put it. i would put it in my truck, but can’t find a cheap pump to get it out and i only have a 20 gal tank. I want this gas out so i can run non-ethonal on my friday trip.

I just started running ethanol free gas about two months ago.I just added to the 40 or so gallons of ethanol gas and didn’t have any issues. Haven’t run below half a tank and probably filled up 8 times since.

If you ain’t hooked, you ain’t doing it right.

Not Charleston. Oakbrook @ Ladson Rd. I think it’s an Exxon.

I knew you guys would come around! No matter what Hoppy said! Seeya, Scott

??? what do you mean

it’s tough being a gamecock fan!

No biggy, just Hoppy and I had an ongoing dabate about using E-10, or pure gasoline. The people who care about their stuff should use pure gas only, if they possibly can!! And it is “POSSIBLE” with a little effort!! Seeya, Scott

Beg to differ, I’ve been running the E10 in my boats with NO problems whatsoever. On the first tankful I started using Star Tron treatment and added 10 micron filters with clear bowls. Hundreds of hours later not a single problem or hiccup from it. One of my boats has a 17 year old Merc 115 with well over 10k hours on it. As well as running 300hp HDPI’s and 4 strokes with treated E10 as well with no problems whatsoever. Have pumped thousands of gallons of UNTREATED cruddy looking gas from others boats this last summer as well and put on 10 micron filters for them and had them start using Star Tron with no more problems from thier boats whatsoever.

Personally I hate the E10 and if a gas station near me had “pure” gas I would be using that but would not drive very far out of the way or pay much more for it just to get “pure” gas. Only drawback to the additive I see is the added cost of the additive, but it is nothing compared to the cost of not using it while running E10.
The remedy for the E10 situation is pretty simple and easy IMO, just use the additive.

why not.

You have treated fuel in tank and then add non ethanol from exxon on dorchester and ladson rds.

Hey next time wave at me with all your fingers.

treating the fuel does not take the ethanol out…
