Creeps?! Really:smiley: What’s creepy about a MAN enjoying the beauty of a WOMAN in a bikini??? You gay or hopefully being sarcastic?

If said Women don’t want MEN to look, don’t go in public wearing a bikini. That being said, there is a difference between a look and a drulling stare, which all true MEN understand.

You are looking at a picture that someone took without their permission most likely. If this type of smut was good for this website then we would still have the big fish club, which most of you won't remember, but it was a forum for this type of activity. At some point someone decided it wasn't good for this site and replaced it with 45 other forums.

That might be the nicest thing you have ever said about me.

Really Fritz? a lady on a paddle board in the water is smut??? I’ll look at a pretty lady any day and admire GOD’s creation, but I won’t gawk with lust in my heart.

From some past comments you must have really turned over a new leaf??? I remember the forum you are referring to, I was using a different user id then.

What else

There is no expectation of privacy when you are on the water paddleboarding. It’s not illegal.

Dang, I’ll just have to admire that Red Paddle in my mind! I think Jimmy Carter, did something like that and he got away with it:stuck_out_tongue:[:0]:imp::wink:

Back to the post topic, I live off of Folly Creek also called Bowens Island creek by at least one other poster here. There are two Rental places on the creek with a 1/4 mile of each other so there are lots of paddlers. I think it is great that these folks are getting out to enjoy the day versus becoming obese couch slobs like so much of America but the rental houses do need to provide some instruction. On second thought the rental houses and instructors need some instruction. Multiples times I have had I instructors tell me to slow down when passing. Yes I am responsible for my wake, I know that I am not allowed to throw a wake if I am within 50 feet of another boat, dock, or person. Beyond that it becomes a judgement call. If I am on plane and at a reasonable distance these clowns should not be telling me to slow down. If I do slow down the wake as I come off plane will be far worse. If the paddlers can’t handle a wake from my flats boat or Jon boat when I am on plane then they should not be I the water plain and simple.Paddlers should also understand and know where the channel is. A large group of paddlers blocking the channel is a recipe for disaster. Again instruction to the instructors to know and understand and then to share with renters would circumvent the common problems. At the end of the day I would much rather share the water with a few educated paddlers than one uneducated operator of a Chrysler powered bow rider.

I’m sure all those instructors are just as frustrated with the inexperienced, wayward paddle boarders as you are. Surely, they get just as pissed when their clients start falling off and paddling across the creek into boat traffic. For an inexperienced paddle boarder, a slight wake can be a scary hazard that will knock them off their boards into shark infested waters.

These tourists who come from Kentucky, Vigrinia and whatnot are probably not experienced paddlers and perhaps do not know any better. Instead of being a dick and waking them or yelling at them, a friendly suggestion of how to avoid getting run over and rules of the road might be more helpful.

Just to be clear, I am not recommending waking anyone. If there is significant distance between you and the paddler and you are operating your boat in a safe manner there should be absolutely no reason you cannot pass while on plane. A paddler should be aware they are entering the open waters and wind or boats could make waves. They should know how to get down on the knees or stomach to avoid falling into the 85 degree water on a 95 degree day. Also I would never condone yelling at anyone on the water unless they are a plain idiot that is putting someone or thing into harms way. Some instruction to the instructors to pass on to those that are unfamiliar with some of the rules of the road, dangers of Mary Lee entering the creek, and overall safety would be great!

We slow down for them. Yes, it’s a hassle, but so is a lawsuit from someone that thinks you knocked them off their board and caused them to get hurt.

Slow down, politely wave and silently curse behind your smile. It’s good for tourism. :sunglasses:
