all the paddle boarders are the reason for our last few leisurely cruises through shem creek after a good day fishing. We did encounter a group that was overly annoing. We released all our left over bait. The pelicans and gulls were quit entertaining. 
I thought I still had pictures, but cant find the the one of the dude freaking out over all the birds around him.
Dang! Think I like the one with the red paddle best! None, are to shabby:smiley:

Saw one today that beat all of them, but I could not get my camera out fast enough. Almost broke my heart.

I primarily run my boat out of folly. There are now probably 5 - 10 kayak / paddle board operations out of that boat landing. Here is my gripe. Parking. A summer weekend and you are guaranteed to have 10 spots taken by non trailering vehicles. It drives me freaking crazy. I usually just call Folly Beach Public Safety and ask they send an officer down to ticket all the cars. And for all the haters on here, trust me…I’m not that kind of person. But in this case, where you have businesses operating out of a public landing treating it like it is their own dock … clogging up the boat ramps, parking, waterways…well, the best way I can repay their ignorance is spreading a little joy around in the form of yellow envelopes.
I tried to launch there one day and 3 of the 4 launch ramps were taken up by paddle boarders and kayaks with no clue what was going on- its a mess there
saw a guy doing yoga headstands on his hippie paddleboard right in the middle of the creek in front of reds (bet he got laid, ya right). really wanted to throw a full beer at him

I’ve rented paddleboards at shem creek a couple times. It’s a good time, but they do need to maybe give a little quick pep talk on getting the heck out of the way.

If said Women don’t want MEN to look, don’t go in public wearing a bikini. That being said, there is a difference between a look and a drulling stare, which all true MEN understand.

If that was for me, we never actually threw it their way, just released it by the shrimp boat and our special pelican friend that has been going on for a long time. The gulls just showed up and gave me a good laugh and pissed off some arrogant paddle boarders.
As for shark bait? Do you know anything about Shem Creek? I know not as much is thrown back after the loss of our head boats, but much “shark bait” is dumped in that creek. I couldn’t count the amount of fish carcasses I’ve returned to the ocean in that creek.
