Went out Friday from 4pm-9pm with the biologists from SCDNR looking to tag more Blacktips! The long nights of being skunked and frustrated are absolutely worth it for this moment… We hooked a beautiful female tipper right before sundown and she put on a show! She jumped and spun about 7 times perfectly parallel to the beach so everyone could get a great few! And people ask me why I use such a long shock leader, ITS FOR THOSE JUMPS! Got her on the beach and let the scientists do there thing, Sat Tag… Acoustic Tag… Blood sample. Then I removed the hook and let her go! She was the biggest Blacktip of the study so far! Perfect Z-Line on her! Beautiful fish! Swam away strong! Another one in the books for our great team of Sharkers!
