For the past eight years CharlestonFishing.Com has grown, expanded, and grown again. Each year we have been amazed that the number of visits and participation in the site has continued to grow. As we began looking at where our visitors come from we began to realize that many people along the coast, both north and south of Charleston were using the site on a regular basis. We added sections for Myrtle Beach and Georgetown and for Hilton Head, Edisto and Savannah to the south. Part of the success we realize comes from the fact that the site provides good local information and if we branched out too far, geographically, we would begin to lose the very thing that made the site successful. Over the years we had several people mention to us that Wilmington could really use a website like CharlestonFishing.com and finally this year we decided to branch out and start WilmingtonFishing.Com
As we did with the Charleston site, we are really relying heavily upon the local fishing population in Wilmington to tell us what they want in a site. We have taken many ideas from Charleston that were suggested to us over the years and incorporated them into Wilmington site so we feel like this site is definitely starting out much more useful, but we also realize there are things unique to the Wilmington area that will need to be implemented into the new site. We hope that over time we will be able to build the kind of camaraderie and fishing family we have on CharlestonFishing and that anglers will find the site informative, entertaining and friendships will be formed that exist outside of the site and onto the water.
If you are in the Wilmington area reading this newsletter we welcome you to come and join the site. If you have friends in that area that love to fish, we encourage you to tell them about the site. As with CharlestonFishing, everything on WilmingtonFishing.com will be free to the public. Please email us with any suggestion or ideas you may have to make the site a great place to come and learn about fish
