Fished the jetty on folly beach park today and ran into a little trouble with the windsurfers. I was on the south side, about 30 yards down beach from the jetty with 3 lines set. Another guy was fishing with two lines out about 40 yards down from me. A windsurfer decided to put in right between us with a solid 15mph wind. He got on the board and got wrapped up in ALL 3 of my lines, tangling them all and himself. He pulled himself to shore and told me it was my fault because it was a wind surfer only beach. I proceeded to tell him his inexperience and poor judgement just cost me some time and I didn’t much appreciate it and if it happened again there would be problems. He didn’t care, just walked away and set in about 150 yards down the beach. Wind surfer only beach, get the F&$( outta here.
On a side note, a few rays and plenty of whiting were caught.
Shudda acted like ya got a hard run and pulled and wound as hard as
you could and hopefully the double drop would have brought in the catch.[:0] I guess this might be a little cruel and couldn’t do it myself but would really be tempted .

When you see “Old Glory” waving in the breeze, know that it is the dying breaths of our fallen hero’s that makes it wave.

Those wind surfers are a huge pain. I get we should all share the beach, I get it. The problem is when you’ve been there all day and they put in 10 feet from you, run over your lines and not have a care in the world about it. Then proceed to say that since their activity requires more skill and investment that they have the right to do their activity any where they please.
Didn’t really bother me too much, aside from untangling lines and resetting. I’m not going to be the one with multiple hooks in my side!
