Windy Reds

With 48 degree water, moon tides, and wind gusting to 30 mph, one would think, “Only and idiot would fish under these conditions.” Well, my clients from Ohio certainly weren’t idiots by insisting on fishing today. And they whacked 'em. It took some adjusting. The key turned out to be unweighted plastics, Gulps and Trout Tricks, fished slower than possible, with repeated casts to past productive areas. The porpoises were no where to be seen, actually we did see one, however we watched a Bald Eagle catch a mink and an otter dive, then come back up with a trout.

That’s a picture of a bald eagle hauling off a marsh mink? That’s crazy!

I don’t mean like, “I don’t believe that bald eagles eat minks and that minks don’t live in the marsh.”

What I mean is… YOU GOT A PICTURE OF THAT!!!

Thats crazy! Looks like you earned your money that day. Thanks for the fun report. Ty
