Winter shore fishing

I live in the Beaufort area and I have been having trouble finding good spots to fish from shore this time of year. Is surf fishing on hunting Island good or should I try something else? Any info will help, thanks.

I am afraid your options are pretty limited during this time of year if you do have a way to get out on the water. If you could borrow a kayak or canoe, you could fish many areas at low tide for redfish and fish at other tides for trout. One other options is to fish some docks with lights and fish for trout at night. There also may be some tidal creeks you can walk to at low tide and see if you can find some reds. Good luck!

I do have a fishing kayak but I am trying to find a place that I can fish from shore sometimes but I have not had much luck in the winter.

Juke I wish I had some better news to report, but I went out to the old bridge on the broad today, and although it is easy access there was not any action at all. I think I will be venturing out in my kayak soon to try and scout some new places to fish.

Has anyone ever tried fishing the board walk in Port Royal? If so what kind of luck did you have?
