Don’t recall ever seeing an academic scandal go so long and so deep.

There is a very small percentage of school that can truly use that moniker.

Listen to these kids speak (at most schools, including the ACC), They shouldn’t have graduated high school.

All of them make “exceptions” for sports, especially football.

UNC should get the death penalty. They should have to forfeit the NC in basketball won during the time as well as vacate all wins. Bans from post-season play for every year that this was going on and scholarship reductions by the same amount.

BTW, I still don’t think this would lift the Clemson curse in Cheater Hill for basketball.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

So the rich, white, Liberal democrats at UNC created fake classes for poor black athletes in order to maximize profits?

“For five years, UNC has insisted the paper classes were the doing of one rogue professor: the department chair of the African American studies program, Julius Nyang’oro. Wainstein’s report spread the blame much further.”

Pro-tip, don’t trust a guy named Julius…

I agree with the “Listen to these kids speak” comment. This is at EVERY school out there.

For the record…Rashad McCants always sucked and he not liked by a lot of Tarheel players. He was suspended once I believe. So, consider the source. He didn’t play pro and goofed off and now finds himself out in the world and he didn’t take his educations seriously.
Poor him.

Also - they apparently are the only school that seems to want to air their dirty laundry regarding academics. Swarthy little tutors from California come to UNC and don’t understand why these guys aren’t literary poets and raise their libtard flags…

I’ve told you guys several times about sitting next to basketball players at USC and they couldn’t string 4 words together, but they made straight A’s and never set foot in the class except to get their names on the roll.

My wife sat next to one of the top running backs ever at USC in a fashion merchandising class. I’m sure he was the best dressed player out there and could enthrall us with his brilliant acumen about fashion.

Give me a break! This goes on everywhere that’s why this will go nowhere with the NCAA. There will not be forfeitures of n

Truth is guys…I have no idea what will happen because it is more bad press for the school and once again the kind of news we don’t need…but I hope the NCAA makes their decisions related to this in a timely manner. UNC has had to deal with NCAA crap for 5 years now - tough to do anything with that constant cloud hanging overhead. Just hoping we can hang on to the 1982 national championship at least! HA!!

Not many schools invite the NCAA in though. Not sure why we are so helpful in an effort to harm the school other than a couple liberal, do-gooders (ex. Mary Willingham).

For the record though…if you’ve been to college…you know that paper classes are offered and are nothing unusual. I think its the ratio of athletes to other students that is the issue with some of them.

I still say it’s rampant and everywhere with college athletes. There are always a couple of classes that people enroll in during their college career that are “easier” than others to get through.

I just printed the 136 page report, so in an effort to further educate myself, I will read it - in lieu of getting hit in the head with a hammer I guess.
