when are they going to dredge the basin by the marina? Got a mailing from DHEC back when we owned property. That was about a year ago.
I’ve seen that place dredged several times over the last 20 or so years, and I always thought that the property owners on the basin had to ante up and pay for it. I was’nt aware that dhec did it.

That’s right. We had a condo at the marina and got a notification from DHEC that the permits were submitted and that the dredging would begin soon. I agree. Property owners along the basin ought to pay. Just curious when it was going to happen.
Property owners in the Basin pay all costs. Dhec justs takes the application for the permit.
Currently, they are having difficulty finding a staging area, and the permit has been succesfully appealled by the Bay Creek Owners Association since part of the work under the permit application was on Bay Creek’s Property.
Best scenario would be a start date next winter if at all. There are ral problems associated with the project and how it impacs neighboring properties.
