i hope after sunday i can come on here and say" what a difference a year makes"
Big difference in my wallet this year, thats for sure,I spent big $$$ in the past few years, but this year I was set up pretty good and offshore didnāt cost nearly as much.
How much do you suppose you spent on saltwater fishing last year LR? Maybe you donāt want to know.
i try not to think about that to muchā¦but its ALOTā¦
hopefully we can come back sunday with a tuna reportā¦
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up and loudly proclaiming, āWOW! What a ride!ā
B is supposed to help another boat with a charter on Sunday. I will be down there to see what happened, have an 8-page paper due for my GT course on Tuesday. That is my weekend.
donāt know what yaāll are seeing, but I donāt see anything that warrants breaking out the ballyhoo. I know we took a dolphin in 65 degree water, but the ācoreā and any defined edges are way out there. here is the last full view before the clouds moved in.

āBack home we got a taxidermy man. He gonna have a heart attack when he see what I brung himā
Capt Jamie and the Due Course are back at Tolerās.He will kill tunas soon.BTW,Did any of yāall go after BFT off Chas this winter?I took a good friend who is an experienced capt off Morehead and Nagās Head btm fishing in 65ft on Super Bowl weekend and I thought I saw one chasing a school of bullets on the surface.Capt Bob laughed at me til we both saw the same fish come 1/2 out of the water a little later. There was a 3deg break in the area and the warm side was 70.5deg rising to 71deg.We also marked something solid from 30ft down on the FF a coupla times(No,not propwash) and he said thatās what they look like off NC.Capt Bob also said that the conditions were perfect,a big break in the winter, lots of bait,68-71deg water,no boats out there harrassing them, and that I should try it next year. What do yāall think?Oh,and we were just south and offshore of the 440 Hole.

11 blackfin or yellow fin? there is a big difference. they have been catching blackfin all winter around the deli. I have not seen any Yellowfin since the fall.

Info like that would have been blasted all across this website. what boat was it? and why didnāt they weigh them for the trident?
Netgirlā¦what do you know of this???

I have heard no such thing, other than the tuna report from John Mallette that was/is posted here. No dock talk at all. About fish, anyway.
B is running a charter for another boat tomorrow, (they meaning B and T, and the 7 Russians on board) are trolling. I am to be dockside tomorrow to clean fishā¦provided they catch anything worthwhile to bring back.
They are not even leaving until 8 amā¦that is what the charter wanted.
Gives me plenty of time to finish my paper, and get to the dock.
They will be back by dark-30, or thereaboutā¦
GutWrench, if you are out there, which B said you would be, they will be on ch. 65.
I know for a fact a boat out of Bohicket caught eleven back in January. I saw the pictures.
I was responding to Sells post that referred to the one, in Jan., 2008, from Redstripe.
However, I did not realize that Mallette's original post was from 2007.
Why do people bring up these old posts? I seldom get on here, and have a limited time to readā¦I did not notice the date.
and yes i saw the date and knew before i even posted our plans which i started to think about on tues, sometimes i wonder if EF has an inside track at what i had planned?

Blasted all over this site??? I would think about 1/4 of the people that fish report here!! What I saw was pix from a camera phone and I know where the dude fishes from!!
11 YFTās in January is bigā¦No Huge news, like when the Bluefin show up off of Hilton Head, and that would have come out. Itās not like a secret Bass hole, people talk about a catch like that.
