When I was 20 yo, wanted a Boston Whaler in the worst way, so I borrowed a friends, flipped it over, pulled a quick mold off of it and made my own “Whaler”. Over the last 30 years it has gone thru various transitions with different covers, etc… Boat has caught salmon in British Columbia, Large halibut In WA state, Calico bass off Catalina Island, Rooster fish in Baja, Mexico, Grouper in Key West and Bream in the Everglades and Reds and what have you in the Charleston area.

Yup, below the rubrail is gray and the cap is white.
Thanks, we love it. Plenty of fishing boat for me and lots of room (deck space) for the wife to lay around on when we are just riding.

the diamond plate is not attached to the side of the boat, nor is any of the framing.
