What’s there to “back off” about? All he’s doing is stooping to the level of emotional USC fans. Anyone that’s objective sees and understands the HUUUUGE gap between the two programs (Clemson and USC). I get the juvenile back and forth banter but for me, that’s all it is. If there was such a historical imbalance (not in my team’s favor) between my team and my “rival,” I don’t know that I’d be nipping at the big dog’s heels. Conversely, if I were a Clemson fan, USC and their fans wouldn’t even be on my radar. Focusing on lesser competition only distracts and detracts from the end game. For Clemson, at least as of recent, that end game is being a relevant national power and regularly competing for National Titles. Again, if I were a Clemson fan, in my mind, USC and that “rivalry” is irrelevant until they (USC) prove otherwise. At this point, Clemson has everything to lose and nothing to gain by playing USC. If they win, they’re supposed to win, but if they lose, that could very well cost them a shot at the CFP and the NT.

Facts are hardly “scientific analysis” but I can see how that goes over your head and totally gets in the way of your story telling.
Read back over my posts and re-read your most recent post. You might reassess who exactly is “bent out of shape.” But I get it. You’ve always proven to be one of those guys to get all riled up and then makes things personal when you get in over your head. I figured it was just a matter of time before you took it there. As far as whether my team is any good or not, right now, they definitely are not but you must’ve missed it when I used a fact to take a dig at you and Clemson. My no good, lowly, non-rival-having, irrelevant, weak-assed mascot-having of a football team has as many NT’s as Clemson. See, I used a fact to talk smack. It can be done AND it’s more effective than the grade school neener neener/I know you are but what am I exchanges you taters always muster up with USC fans. I told you, you can’t get under my skin talking crap, albeit weak crap, about my Terps (who still has as many NT’s as Clemson) and you most definitely can’t press a button, like your easy button, talking about USC. Plus, Ralph Friedgen was way too passive to ever be considered “obnoxious” and Durkin wasn’t at practice when that young man died. If you knew anything about facts, you’d know these things.
