See ya at Bohicket…
“mr keys”
Probably at advice of lawyers?
Plenty to figure out for them before saying anything…not surprised actually.

I see your point, but it’s still interesting! Surely 5-6 days later attorneys would have advised by now…
I personally think it’s plain hilarious that despite the form having 7pm as the close on one section, the rules clearly state 6pm, and multiple people have chimed in from the meeting saying that 6pm was reiterated at the meeting. And yet two money positions were weighed after 6pm and there is still no clarification.
My original post was 2-3 days into this and the OP had not been back to this thread.
My problem here is that the OP has come here today to edit his post, and has seen 6+ pages of questions, and hasn’t responded.
Not only has he not responded to the questions, he updated the original post to include a second fish from after 6PM…just to make us ask MORE questions.
Seems to me that he wouldn’t have done that if he hadn’t already cleared it with lawyers and such.
Make sense now? To me it appears that the people in charge have decided that the scales didn’t close until 7PM, so posting those two late fish doesn’t matter to them…neither does answering our questions.

Maybe that’s what happened. Maybe his lawyers told him to not comment. Make sense now?

DURRRR…listing the winning fish with times IS COMMENTING. He (in not so many words) has told us that the scales closed at 7 and those fish count.

</font id=“size4”></font id=“blue”>WE WILL DO IT AGAIN, EVEN BETTER NEXT YEAR!</font id=“size4”></font id=“blue”>
FOR THE RECORD:
12 ADDITIONAL BOATS WEIGHED BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 6pm-7pm
THERE WERE NO PROTESTS REPORTED THE DAY OF THE DOLPHIN SLAM
WE CLARIFIED THE SCALES OPEN 3pm-7pm IN THE CAPTAIN’S MEETING
IT WAS COMMUNICATED ON CHANNEL 72 THAT SCALES WERE OPEN FROM 3pm-7pm
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THOSE FISHING DOLPHIN SLAM NEXT YEAR:
Captain's meeting will still be optional BUT if you pay to fish a tournament it shoul
Wow. You mean to say that the captain’s meeting is for clarification/changes of the rules and it’s a good idea to go even if you are not forced to? Mind blowing…
Great tournament but you can’t make up the rules as you go along. The rule Sheet clearly stated the scales we’re open from 3pm until 6pm. The winning fish showed up at the fuel dock at 645 as we were all watching.
What did the officials have to say about that? Surely someone brought it to their attention just in case they weren’t paying attention to the clock?
The Officials Said Nothing because the Scales were Open from 3pm-7pm, It was CLARIFIED IN THE CAPTAIN’S MEETING and ALSO ON CHANNEL 72 OFFSHORE. Not one person made a protest to the Dock Master on Saturday. 12 other Teams weighed in between 6pm & 7pm.
For the record, NONE of Bohicket Marina’s Staff that were On Duty were drinking on Saturday.
Still pretty piss poor that the typo in rules caused all this. Maybe if running a “top tier” event should consider proofreading the form that is being handed out to all boats who are spending money on your event.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THOSE FISHING DOLPHIN SLAM NEXT YEAR: Before sending in your registration money, carefully inspect rules and schedule for typos, misprints, mistakes and other clueless errors the tournament committee and director somehow seemed to overlook.

Well I must of missed something at the capts meeting. Because the young guy doing the talking said 6pm. Then dude man fromt he store says no no lets change it to 7. Dude doing the talking said… NO THE RULES SAY 6PM THATS WHAT WE ARE GOING OFF OF.
Maybe you guys need to figure out who the hell is in charge of things down there and get on the same page. I pissed because I could of kept fishing but decided to pull lines to make sure we got in on time in case all that bad weather they talked about popped up. Maybe the guy with me was hearing things too. He heard 6pm a
So for the organizer to not accept any responsibility for this and to instead tell everyone else they are “wrong” is a GREAT way to attract more participants in future tournaments. Their PR guy deserves a raise. LOL!!!
No matter how much it hurts, how dark it gets, or how far you fall…you are never out of the fight.
