The site I use for spreads doesn’t even touch this game… But I say no.
Clemson 42
State 10
But it’ll be 35-0 at half
No, Clemson won’t cover the spread. Dabo has never been one to run up the score for style points and pollsters. He’ll get a comfortable lead then get the first string out and put in young guys to get them playing time and experience. Hopefully Bryant plays the entire game and gets those jitters out.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I was yelling at the coaching staff "Why is the best ACC QB playing with 3 minutes to go with a 30 point lead?" They couldnt hear me through the tv. Tajh even ran a few QB draws and got knocked around. So your statement is partly untrue.

While I agree with this evaluation. I find it amusing that a Gamecock fan is watching a Clemson game, against a crappy opponent I assume form the big lead, and is getting so excited over it that he is “yelling” at the tv at the coaches because the QB is still in the game. Nothing wrong with it, you just don’t see many opposing fans that caring of the rivals QB.

If they are serious about him winning the Heisman, they will let him stay and get the gawdy numbers. I would prefer, the second string play with a big lead.

If the score is 35-0 in the second quarter, then you are going to start seeing Cole Stoudt and Chad Kelley take snaps along with a lot of younger players. The games you are referring to aren’t padding snaps, they were getting a QB comfortable with his system and receivers.
Heisman voters aren’t going to look any more favorably on a QB staying in a game and throwing for 700yds and 10 scores against schhitty little opponent like SC State than they will him throwing for 300-400 in two quarters and sitting out.

Keep reaching. Boyd isn’t playing the entire game on Saturday, maybe the opening series of the third quarter. After that it’ll be Cole Stoudt and Chad Kelley.

Exactly what am I reaching for?
You said “Dabo has never been one to run up the score for style points and pollsters. He’ll get a comfortable lead then get the first string out and put in young guys to get them playing time and experience.”
I posted stats that proves that incorrect.
Then you said “The games you are referring to aren’t padding snaps, they were getting a QB comfortable with his system and receivers.”

Of all the truth stretches you’ve ever posted, this one is the biggest.
All Heisman voters care about is stats. That’s why the defensive guys don’t win.

I agree with this 100%…why not add 5 more touchdowns, 100 yards of rushing and 400 yards of passing to Boyd’s totals…SC State doesn’t score until 7 mins left in the game when Clemson puts the 81 championship team defense back in to finish the game

Clemson might cover just because their scout team is probably better than SC State. You can pull the first string, but they’ll still score points. Might see some walk ons play too. I agree they will probably let a bunch of young guys on the field, but probably not many freshman. This game defintely isn’t worth burning a red shirt over.

Yeah, you’re right. Dabo, CM, BV are going to keep the starters in the entire game just so Tajh can get 1200yds passing and 15 TD’s to pad the stats.
They won’t keep anyone that doesn’t need work or experience in any longer than necessary. No need to risk an injury playing a nobody.

Read what I posted. I responded to your blabber about the ole mighty Dabo. The FACTS are that Dabo and company have on several occasions done the complete opposite of what the Clemson faithful like to believe.
He is not the football saint ya’ll like to think he is.
