hey willy what’s up?the murray report- stripers are biting from the boyscout camp to buffalo creek on herring and shiners down rodding.the perch are biting aroun shulls island in 60ft of water.the crappie are scattered off of points in 20ft of water.the catfish are still holding in 40ft off of steep drop offs.anything else let me know.willy glad to hear you still CATCHING them.do i need to post pictures so i don’t get called out?

willy the wife and i were down this weekend,it was kinda a minivacation for her befoe tax season kicks in full blast.we fished a little bit,not any luck.i tried acreek or two and the surf.i,m going to try to make in a couple of weeks.will the stripers still be there?i’ve never tried for them in saltwater tinking about giing them a try.i’ll email ya when i’m ready to go catching maybe we can go and catch a few.the picture thing was not meant for you.

took the last of my mullet and went to the cooper and put the canoe in goose creek.snuck out to the mouth area and baited up.no gunboat to be found so i sat with the mullet on bottom and fished a chicken back in the creek.3 trout and a 20 in. spottail later i finally got
a good strike,but the line must have been frayed because it broke before i got the fish up where i could see it.fought like a spottail anyway.no more action from the mullet,so i continued back the way i came picking up a trout here and there,and one more spottail almost back to the bridge.talked to a guy in a jonboat who said he had caught 3 stripers out there at the bridge a few weeks back when it was cold.also caught on mullet.no stripers today,but the spottail and trout bailed me out.

But, I have to agree with Murray. I think you are full of it…
so now i get chastized for callin the guy a jack azz.im a liar because i didnt take pictures of all my catches.and im “full of it”.
there are alot of people on this site that dont take pics of any of their catches.i might remind you that until i lost my camera at n. folly,i had taken alot of pics of my catches,and cutmullet i know you saw some of those threads.and what are you callin me out on anyway?i seem to remember some of your threads showing one measly trout,but in the thread you claim all these other fish you caught.where are those pics?who are you to examine my integrity?i met you one time i think,and talked to you maybe 1 minute.you dont know me,you might examine some of your own claims that dont have the pics to back it up.you might also examine his 40 some odd posts with about 30 some odd negative posts towards anything and everything.i would like to meet some of you in person sometime and see your pics.i got mine.i got em from 1972-2006.i bet you wont call me a liar to my face either.email me.lets get together.have a nice day.

actually kloud,i dont think they are arguing about the stripers in the combahee.they are questioning a report i made in this thread on 1/1/07 where a friend and i caught 14 stripers in 1.5 hours.(2 to 9 lbs).if they dont believe it they dont believe it.i admit i cant prove that one,but i still stand by my post.

Maybe they just suck at striper fishing. I am no expert striper fisherman, but up north we have had a day or two with double digit stripers. I dont know whats so hard to believe. If you find the right school, right bait, then its very possible. Willy, dont let them get to you.

Btw, I read earlier where someone was talking about the place on Bennett’s Pt Rd where you can fish from the bank. It’s called “Fee Farm Creek” and it has historically been a good spot to catch fish when the water is running out. Too bad rockfish are about as rare as black ducks these days, though.
