If you believe that Clemson should be where they are in the bowl game.
Just compare sec to ass(cc). Just no where near each other.
Cap 1 bowl is a very nice bowl. Wisconsin is a very good team with a great pedigree. I’m excited about the matchup. Clemson likewise has a prestigious bowl against a respected opponent. I don’t really understand what there is to be upset about.
I am not upset about Clemson being in a BCS bowl and Carolina not. I am not upset with Carolina being in the Cap 1 bowl. With the exception of Carolina screwing the pooch against UT, I am pretty happy with this season. I’ll be real happy if they take care of the badgers and finish in the top 10. In the end, it is still just football and has no direct effect on my life.

Carolina should take care of yet another Big 10 alsoran. When is the Capital 1 bowl actually going to pair them with a team on the rise instead of one on the decline? The Big 10 is a joke and that includes Ohio St. Wisconsin is a shell of the team it had when it played TCU. Carolina should beat them by 4 td’s. This is not a matchup , it’s a joke. Carolina should be playing Baylor in the Fiesta Bowl. They beat UCF straight up.

So in your ASSumption, every SEC team should be in a top bowl game?
Wait, USC doesn’t even play the highest ranking teams in the SEC…oh yeah, that’s an important piece of information right there…and they aren’t even on top of the group they are in. So it appears USC can’t even lead the bottom tier of their conference.
LoL
Gripe & complain all you want…it’s still the Capital One Bowl…
Or will it be called the “Carolina Won” bowl after the game? LoL
Man, for a guy that doesn’t even like college football, you sure spend a lot of time talking about it.

NOT really!! But a A**- whipping by FSU on a Thursday night prime-time game at HOME reveals the true mettle of the Tigers. Committing six turnovers against the Gamecocks in Columbia shows the true talent of Clemson. I hope they can at least put on a decent show against OSU in Miami. I actually want Clemson do well and wish them the best, except when they play Carolina. I know several Clemson fans who actually believe losing every game in a season is OK IF Clemsom beats Carolina the last game of the season. To each his own. The ACC competition (FSC excluded for the time being) is hurting Clemson’s football team potential.

Clemson losing to FSU stings a bit but no one knew how good FSU would be. FSU playing for the BCSBCG takes some of the sting out of it, though a better showing would have been nice. Losing to SC sucks, 6 TO’s are inexcusable but it didn’t break the Tiger’s season like the FSU loss did.
USC losing to UT is the reason the chickens weren’t in ATL, not the UGA loss. That one loss kept them from the SECCG and the way it worked out, a possible trip to Pasadena to play for it all. How can you not say that a loss to a bad UT team didn’t cost the yardbirds or break the season?

Only because I like picking on Gamecock fans. That’s the best sport there is. LoL

The description of the FSU game has been used by most folks I know in describing the game, but perhaps I should have kept that to myself. Please re-read my statement: I want Clemson do well except when they play Carolina. As stated above, no one knew how good FSU was before that game

7, you have said MANY stupid things but to say that UT game revealed the true mettle…That is the worst. AFTER that loss, they have won every game. Including 2 top 10 teams.
That is the true mettle of the Gamecocks.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I can’t help but notice how often you have mentioned that. Not really sure what you are going for but my guess is it help take the sting out of the USC vs CU game.
No doubt, the UT loss cost Carolina. Just as the FSU loss cost Clemson. Think of what could have been without that loss, a Clemson team that won it’s division and maybe the conference…that still lost to Carolina. Coulda, woulda, shoulda.
