Clemson comes out on top. I still don’t buy the defense when the only teams the stats are great against either have horrible pass offenses or were crappy teams to begin with. You won’t have much of a challenge until you play Arkansas either.

With the way a lot of you cock lovers have been talking, I figured you’d agree with my prediction almost to the letter… I gave your great defense credit, but I also gave our great offensive staff and players a lot of credit. If you’ve watched both teams play this year, I don’t see how you can say I’m that far off… even if Boyd or Ellington get hurt. They’ve both played hurt already this year, btw…

No one knows how USC will respond to loosing a HT candidate. Time will tell.

I certainly feel that your defensive staff and unit are better than Clemson’s for whatever reasons right now.
I think the problem for you all is on the offensive line and play calling moreso than at the actual position, although Lattimore is an extremely valuable player. Lattimore’s production in terms of yardage and points was way down even before he was injured because of the losses you’ve had up front. I don’t see this being resolved by the time you guys play us, and I think our defense is getting better.
Lattimore was 16 for 66yds and a long of 15yds against Auburn.
D.J. Howard was 9 for 86yds and a long of 37 against Auburn.
I believe our other freshman TB fumbled the ball and didn’t get much p.t. after that. And Ellington was 14 for 46 and a long of 9… Pretty similar rushing stats except we’ve got 2-3 horses at the position while y’all put it all on one guy. Our total rushing against Auburn was 238yds and yours was 129.
Now before you throw out that “Auburn was playing better after playing Clemson” crap again, you need to think back about whether or not their top two receivers were banged up against y’all or if they didn’t even play at all… They were a different team 2 games later, for sure, but better???- I think you’re kidding yourself.
I watched both games, and I don’t think it’s just the Clemson fan in me telling me that Auburn wasn’t nearly as powerful against y’all.

Here is another thought. If CU puts some points up quick and it looks like its going to get out of hand. Or perhaps an SC turnover or two early that CU scores from, I think SC hangs their heads and throws in the towel. This will be compounded if they loose 2 of the previous 4 games.
I think SC is a team loosing momentum and not building momentum. And I can’t say I blame them after everything they have been trhough lately
Here’s a thought. USC has not scored first yet this year.
