The 3 teams you mention are in the bottom half to bottom 3rd in rushing. BC is 5th.
Take off the coot glasses, b8.
BC hasn’t played Clemson yet- the others have.
FSU had 13yds rushing on us… in 4+ quarters AT FSU.
You can believe that FSU is just terrible at rushing the ball and that Clemson’s rush defense isn’t good if you’d like. You are correct in that statistically, FSU is not one of the best running teams. I’d suggest you consider the possibility that at this point, after Gurley torched them late in that game, we have a great front 7 and depth, however, and if you’d watched them play it’s pretty obvious that they are playing very well. In position, playing disciplined and tackling well.
BC is “5th in rushing” by playing the following teams, btw…
UMass
Pitt
Maine
CoSU
NCSU
USC
The only ranked/respectable team in that bunch was USC, which BC put up 450yds rushing against.
Kind of an anomaly, don’t you think, when BC only rushed for 142yds in their LOSS to Pitt…?
Pitt defense holds them to 142yds but USC lets them get 450yds? Seriously???
USC had an all around horrible game at BC. I remember seeing the highlights and thinking, “Dang, they weren’t tackling worth **** there.”
We play BC every year, and every year it’s a hard fought game. We aren’t flying in from the PAC12 thinking we’re going to win just because.
The way I see it, Clemson is going up there with something to prove- because nothing’s been proven by this team yet this year, and they are fighting to get into the Orange Bowl by finishing up with two losses with an undefeated FSU going to the playoff and opening up that ACC spot in the OB…
