Dont feel bad coots. We suck too.

It was not a typical Chad Morris showing in the 2nd half…unless you compare it to recent games against Carolina. I personally don’t understand being so conservative in the 2nd half. Field position obviously played a big part, but come on, 1 first down! Yikes!

The difference is that Clemson was competitive for one whole half of football. SC was on their heels from about the second A&M possession. Clemson just couldn’t make the adjustments for Georgia’s gameplan in the second half.

The punters for GA were very good, but I think Clemson’s inability to run the ball made the field position scenario even worse. I am really surprised that Morris did not seem to have an answer for what GA was doing. Again though it is the first game. I know they need big games to get the interest going at the beginning of the season, but I would love to see these two teams play in October with a few games under their belts.

Run, Run, Pass on 3rd and long never works. Looked like a T. Bowden team in the 2nd half. Too predictable, and they got punched in the mouth for it.

They were rushing 4 most of the time and getting pressure on us so they could drop the rest and cause problems in the passing game.

our lack of elite RB really hurts.

No idea why Morris didn’t call some roll out passes, screens, tight ends or slant routs or something.

Clemson has two, Gallman and Choice, they just didn’t get the PT in the game because they don’t know the playbook well enough yet. Gallman should get some work against SCSt, Choice too. Neither of them have the pass blocking down yet though.

UGA has the best backfield in the nation. Any one of the four they played would start at every program in the nation. If UGA stays healthy, they’ll have a dang good shot at the 4 team playoff.

I’m afraid both teams are looking at a 1-2 start to the season. I don’t see either doing much better than 8-4 at best based what we saw week 1. 7-5 is more likely.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long

Yeah, but do yo

Since we are on page 2, I want to make sure I get this right. UGA has and awesome offense, awesome defense and awesome special team. Texas A&M just plain sucks

If you take away the kick return and missed fg, Clemson is ahead in the 4th quarter of that game.

Well played 23.

Dabo got out coached. Richt rope-a-doped Clemson for the 1st half and then unleashed Gurly to body punch them into exhaustion. Big hyped game on national stage with 100+ degree heat index. Perfect set up for a smart coach to exploit. Richt had change of pace running backs and 3 deep offensive line to exploit Clemson’s over eager and over hyped up defense. When Ga. didn’t convert, they put Clemson deep in a hole with field position dominance, and dared them to throw on 1st down. No Sammy, no Bryant, no Ellington to break one and flip the field. Clemson receivers dropped too many easy throws in the 1st half…on the money throws from Stoudt. They got caught looking over their shoulders and short arming. They lost their confidence, and faded out of contention in the 2nd half. I turned it off in the 3rd quarter because it was over. That Ga. coach ain’t no dummy. My hat’s off to him.

Not right now, they’re just good. After they thrash the chickens, they’ll become awesome. That way you can live vicariously through them in the SEC East. Of course if what we saw last Thursday is any indication, you’ll be living vicariously through Florida, Mizzu, Tennessee and Kentucky. I think y’all can beat Vandy.:face_with_head_bandage:

Agree with everything you said except turning it off in the 3rd because you knew it was over. I agree it looked to be getting out of hand, but if you’re a fan of either team you’re not turning off a 3 point game with a whole quarter left to play.

Not sure how thrashing a team with a awful defense will make a team awesome, but OK.
And Clemson my have started Gurley Heisman run, USC will only add fuel to the “Gurley for Heisman” fire

After FSU stomps Clemson again, yall can live through Wake, NCState, BC, the Cuse…
I get scared every time I look at that rundown…

Nah, they’ll beat BC, WF, NCST and Syracuse but NC and Louisville are not gimme’s.

And yes, I’m pretty sure I have a lot of things to do when Clemson plays FSU, that won’t be pretty at all.

FSU is going to lose one by overlooking someone this year. Clemson won’t be the one they overlook. They’ll push Clemson’s doodoo in worse than UGA. I’m a realist, this team has a long way to go to be a 11-1 or 10-2 squad.
