Arthur Ashe Courage Award to Jenner …how is that courage?
Well, if you voluntarily get your ***** cut-off, you are either courageous or crazy. I choose the latter, ESPN obviously went with the former. Just another PC moment in this freak show we call life. ESPN should be ashamed but, anymore, it is all about tolerance.

There are definitely some screws loose in that thing’s head…

Can I boycott ESPN but still watch the SEC network
playing devils advocate… that has to be hard to come out and admit you would rather be a woman than a man. That something you are born with and can’t control and his celebrity status must have made it 2x as hard as an average joe (jane?). If I was in his shoes I would have just kept it a secret.
Granted, not worth him getting the “courage” award but I think it must have been very hard to live with that all his life.
2 or 3 pages?
10 pages.
Did anyone watch it? The presentation was pretty amazing. I couldn’t imagine living a lie for that long, being chased by the paparazzi. I originally thought it was one big publicity stunt (as anything Kardashian related is) but after the award I believe him.
I read that he kept all his parts. if that is the case, it is a stunt
Definitely not courage either. When I think courage, I think it’s something you do despite yourself to help others in need. Having your tallywaker cut off because you want to be a woman isn’t courageous, its selfish. It’s like a guy who runs out of a burning building to save himself. That’s fear and self preservation, not necessarily courage. The guy who runs into the burning building to help others is courageous. He didn’t have to do it, but did it to help others who can’t help themselves.
ESPN just lost all respect from me, not that I really had any for them to begin with.

And what if him coming out is helping others, then would you call it courageous?
I bet him coming out in the public eye has helped a tremendous amount of confused teenagers and adults with gender issues.

Unless you’re a hermaphrodite with both set of giblets, there is no confusion, you’re either male (pecker) or female (cootchie). Pisses me off when people make acceptance and excuses for these nutjobs. Then again, the particular f’tard didn’t stand a chance with the estrogen factory he lives with. Talk about dysfunctional.
Arthur Ashe probably just puked in his grave to have that ass associated with his name.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

There is just as much wrong upstairs with this guy as the one that walked into the movie theater with an automatic weapon. For some reason he is courageous.
Heard it was a Gamecock fan to top it all off.

Aaah yes. All of those people are just lying right?
The world would be a much better place if people were more accepting of others that are not like them. Tens of millions of people have died because of lack of tolerance & acceptanc
When HE was born, did the doctors say “it’s a boy or it’s a girl”? Lots of people are confused about lots of things in life and that makes them confused, not courageous. And, do you think the country will go to one unisex restroom now across the country or are we going to add 2 more types for public use?

The problem is that you are only examining the one word, courageous. I’m not saying he’s not advancing the gay\transgender\whatever agenda. He certainly is, but that’s not what ESPN should be promoting. At least I won’t support ESPN in their movement. This award has come to mean so much more over the years to many and I believe that’s what people are upset over. Along with this award comes an unspoken but very much implied long list of characteristics that most of the other recipients portray in their daily walks as well. Some of those traits are integrity, honor in the face of true adversity, and character.
Bruce Jenner, in my opinion, isn’t worthy of this. He may have shown cour
