Yes, I know, he will say it doesn’t matter because there won’t be a 6th straight loss but, there wasn’t going to be a 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th. What if???

What time is the game this year? If it is at 7:00 or 8:00 I may get to see all of it? Haven’t seen a full game all year, in the woods, on the water or working. Quite frankly, I don’t even get to look at a TV most days until 10:30 when I crawl into bed.

And no, it doesn’t bother me, seeing the twisting, squirming and anger some of you display is fun. Wish I had a camera to see Stinkbait get all red faced and spitting.

I feel pretty safe in 6 not being a reality though.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Sorry. I forgot how the game was played. Your right USC sucks

Without home field advantage we would never win. Oh wait…

This response reeks of a lack of futher counter thoughts / arguments.

I never said USC sucks.
I never said USC HAS to have the homefield advantage to win.

Ricky is on the right track though.

OK.
Clemson’s Defense:
“Gurley scored four touchdowns and set a school record with 293 all-purpose yards”
Gave up 459 yards to UGA. 328 rushing.

Gave up 317 to FSU with a backup QB(I know, i know, he is the best backup on the planet). 307 yards passing

Gave up 478 yards to UNC. 394 passing yards.

I know what the response will be, but I have never said USC defense is good.

USC defense.
“Hill broke Manziel’s single-game passing record with 511 yards”
Gave up 670 yards

Gave up 453 to ECU. 321 passing

Gave up 408 to UGA. 217 rushing

Gave up 449 to Vandy. 237 passing

Gave up 280 to Mizzou. 148 rushing

First off, Clemson will need to score points. Some stats for the masses. Clemson hasn’t scored more than 17 points against the Gamecocks since November 28, 2008…also the last time they came out with a victory over SC.

That’s 5.85 years
Or 304.7 weeks…
Or 2,133 days…
Or 51,192 hours…
Or 3,071,520 minutes…
Or 8,362 stupid Dabo comments…

You have some work to do…that’s all I’m sayin.

and don’t forget that past history only goes back 5 years…

I have nothing factual to base this on but here goes… Clemson will beat USC this year. :stuck_out_tongue: just because I said so

that’s a better response, more what I expect out of you.

Having said that we still have a higher ranked defense #27 to #95, so I will stand by my statement that we have a better defense than USC this year.

Our defense played amazing against FSU by the way.

Less not forget that you also played SC state in there. And a buy week.
USC has played 5 straight Div 1 teams.
T A/M is #5 in passing. ECU is #6 in passing. UGA is #10 in rushing.

Been readin’ all the comments and as usual you Gamecock/Clemson fans are entertaining…getting in late here - just a few comments: I am glad Salty (who I know hates my team…that’s fine) showed in his last post that UNC did move the ball last weekend on Clemson and score points. UNC has a decent up tempo offense and scores plenty of points…just a real shame that DEFENSE is also part of the game, because we have an awful secondary (TOASTED!!!.) Combined with Watson’s passing display, we got our tails whipped. I was at the game last weekend - great atmosphere as usual.

Tigers have a helluva QB, but again…against a 2014 UNC team that is not good to say the least. Clemson couldn’t run on us at all so I thought the D line did a decent job there. I would point out that the one of the few times we were able to pressure him on a pass play he made a rookie mistake and threw an easy pick. Against a better team (and USC, like most of the country, is no doubt better than we are) with a more consistent pass rush…not real sure how he will do.
Bottom line: The Tigers should hitch their wagon to him though because that kid can sling it.

Infamous game #6 will be a good one this year - Based on what I’ve seen, I believe Clemson stops the bleeding and breaks the streak.

The impact of the scholarship sanctions is showing on UNC this year for sure. Very young team with no depth right now (and a talent vacuum in areas), but there’s hope down the road for the few of us hard-headed fans that remain. Fedora is recruiting well and he’s only in year 3.

Where can I get one of those “Wait till next year” bumper stickers that the Gamecocks used for most of the 1900’s?

Go Heels.

What’s a “buy” week?

Sakkerliner’s defense sucks, especially the secondary. Hell if they played UNC, there might be 250 points scored and 2000yds of offense between the two teams.

total defenses is based off averages my man. So a bye week does not matter.

Plus Vandy is one of the worst teams in D1, but will give you the SC state argument.

The point was that Cu has played less games, and less D1 teams. so your average should be better.

UNC is #30 in passing. What do you think your averages would look like if you played #5 and #6

Go H

Vic Koenning is the DC at UNC??? That explains a lot. Y’all don’t have WV on the schedule do you? They’re still scoring TDs in his mind. Prayer sent, well not really.

I understand the D1 thing but what does less games have to do with it? Averages balance out the fact we have played less games.

Probably would push our rank up to the 50’s…still ahead of #95 USC.

haha sorry could not resist.

Anyone want to talk about Clemson’s running game?

Charleston City Papers Best Guide of 2014

Take that juggernaut team the SC State Bulldogs out of the defensive stats and the taters are only allowing 18 yards less per game than the Gamecocks. I wouldn’t say either defense is all that impressive. If I were a betting man, I’d bet on the tiggers this year simply because their offense has been more consistent than the Gamecocks have been. Of course there is the “Daybo Factor” so who knows. Either way, I would expect a high scoring game with 2 such stellar d’s.

“Apathy is the Glove into Which Evil Slips It’s Hand”.

Shevy, cu has played 3 D1 teams and gave up roughly 400 yards on average. Include sc state with 44 yards and that average comes down. So my point is is CU had played another D1 team the average would go up. So not playing helps the average.

If we played another D1 team like Vandy instead of SC state it would have not gone up much.

Kentucky held them to 139 total yards. Temple to 250. The cocks…450.

Regardless of the averages I believe Clemson has better talent and defense than USC this year.

Of course. As long as you don’t let the stats get in the way.:smiley:

LOL. Hey… take out SC State and add in another 400 yard D1 game and we are still ahead of the cocks, in stats.
