The fix is in. How the hell as that offensive pass interference. I hate Nd but they got ****ked. What a joke.
I hate ND and FSU too, but they should have ran that ball in, it was well blocked.

I hate Jameis more. I wish there was a way they both could have lost.

I hate saying this, but I agree with everyone so far. That was a bs call.
Go watch the highlights of the game again. It was a good call. They pushed the defenders into the endzone before the ball was thrown and while it was in the air. Definitely pass interference.

BS call? Two reviewers were blocking linebackers the whole way. Would gave been a great run play!

They can block within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage…
Doesn’t PI mean you interfered with the pass.
Hard to believe with all those Catholics behind them that they lost. I don’t like either so was hoping for a tie or the unheard of double loss.

The Noles have a Golden Horseshoe up their asses. They should have two losses at this point.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Don’t worry, FSU is like Auburn last year. Managed to make two really close games work for them. No more games for them to lose, but heading into the playoffs I don’t think that luck they have had will be there for them
Good call guys. Was pretty toasty last night and didn’t see them blocking before the ball was thrown.

All reviewers are indicating it was a correct call. Maybe ND OC should learn the rule book a little better before they design a play that involves pass interference.
Call may have been BS-like, but ND deserves it after that ridiculous “roughing the snapper” call on UNC last weekend on a 4th and 18. I am biased but the refs did everything they could to keep ND in that game. Same as the pass interference called against us on a 3rd and 7 later in the game. Both calls were momentum changers - ND home cooks better than anybody.
Let’s face it…they (whoever THEY are) couldn’t have a 2-3 UNC team (at the time) coming in and beating them at their house the weekend before a way too over-hyped match between #1 FSU and an over-rated (then) #6 ND team.
All about the money and the hype going into the next weekend. We made mistakes that hurt our own cause, sure…but pretty (**() sure we win that game without those two big time BS calls. It just wouldn’t have been the same build up if ND loses to us and then plays #1.
How in the world ND went from #6 to #5 after going to the wire with a 2-3 team is beyond me. We’re not good but we scored 43 points on those bozos. More points than all other teams they had played combined. If only we had a defense…
ND stinks and so do their crooked refs. Glad they lost. Hate that FSU and their troublemaker QB got another win. Don’t like either team.

The good news is that FSU will not repeat this year w/out a lot of luck. Granted, they’ve had luck thus far, but the other 3 teams that make the playoffs will be far superior than FSU. Before the comments come back, I know we don’t know the other three teams just yet, but reasonable logic says they will be from this group - all of which I think are better than FSU:
- Miss State
- Ole Miss
- Bama
- Auburn
- Oregon
- MSU
- TCU
Two more outliers… Notre Dame (hard to beat a team twice) and Georgia

You weren’t watching the same play then!! The one receiver actually lowers his shoulder into the defender “blocking” him from the get go. All the receivers had to do is stay standing straight up and act, just a little, like they were running a route and the call wouldn’t have been made.

Doesn’t PI mean you interfered with the pass.
You can engage within the first 5 yards, but the receiver cannot come off the ball actually blocking the defender with no intention of running a route (unless the ball is thrown behind the line of scrimmage), which this one was not.
It was called pass interference because the receiver was not holding the defender (it would have been defensive holding) but rather “interfering” with the defender from getting to the intended receiver BEFORE the ball was thrown and WHILE the ball was in the air.
I dislike Winston and FSU too, but that was the right call. It always amazes how dislike for someone or something or the mere want for something to happen can make people look the other way when it comes to the RIGHT thing!
^^^^Exactly!!If they had just turned around and acted like they were looking for the ball…
The play was trips right…and two of the three could have been called for OPI…
