It only gets worse Fritzee! I’m down to a little fishing and a lot of golf! Used to hit the moguls hard! Those days are long gone!

How many miles/week were you running before you went skiing?

Watch that running! It will ruin your knees over the years!

Pfffft

Try 15 years running 5 miles a day, in combat boots AH! Tell me what your knees are like then:question:

It only gets better Fritz. The memories, experiences and the fun times are worth it all. Besides, the alternative to getting older sucks

natureboy, your right in a sense! But when the spirit is still in you and you still feel like you want to do it, it sucks when your body lets you down!

Amen-getting old does suck. 78 this year.
After playing ice hockey for 55+ years; I stepped on a puck last Summer, fell,
and tore my left shoulder rotator cuff thru and thru!
Surgery by Dr. Heather McIntosh, nice, pretty lady and a great orthopedic surgeon.
Now recovering-but no more hockey-dammit!

Sold my Sea Hunt and bought a Jon boat.
No more offshore.
Wonder what’s next?.
Please resist the temptation to make the obvious answer.:smiley:

Sorry, I was unable to make that choice.

“in combat boots AH” are those some kind cross-fit boot?

Getting old sure beats the alternative.

Sternline I feel your pain. Right now I’m 3 weeks into recover on my second rotator cuff repair.
First was a walk in the park, a couple of sutures to tighten things back up on the left side

This one a full open repair with two additional bits of hardware screwed into the bone. Much slower recovery, wearing a sling for a month, PT for 6-8 weeks.

Hurts worse today than it did before, but this too shall pass.

I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Just curious, what caused the injuries?

RBF

First one I dropped and 80 lb kayak off the roof rack and tried to catch it. Second one, not sure, most likely result of my motorcycle crash back in February and didn’t notice it above the 5 broken ribs and punctured lung.
