Go Tigers!!!

Officials kept yall in the game from the first play.

Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.

Congrats to the chickens for playing hard all the way through. They very well could have mailed it in after the Citadel game and just spurriered but, they didn’t. I give Elliot props for getting them ready after a hellish season. IMO he deserves a shot for a few seasons to see what he can do to right the program. Whatever transformation has to take place isn’t happening overnight but he might have it going in the right direction.

Congrats to the Tigers for finishing the regular season 12-0, that’s not easy to do no matter what conference you play in. Win or lose from here on out, it’s been a good ride this year for the team and fans.

Listening to the game yesterday on Sirius, one of the Sakkerliner announcers made the comment that Clemson just seemed to turn it on when they needed to. Clemson’s Elliot said earlier last week that the key was to win, not be flashy or put up style points. He, Scott and Venables said it would be a hard fought game no matter the records, in essence they gave a lot of respect to the chicken coaching staff.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Weren’t those SEC officials? Clemson turning the ball over kept Sakkerliner in it.

Clemson barely squeaked by the worst team in the SEC who also got outplayed by the Citadel a week earlier. Playoffs will be interesting to watch.

Throw shade all you want. It’s getting a little hot in Tiger Nation anyway. Good luck next Sept.

I’m a realist brother. Clemson plays like that next week, NC wins by two TDs.

Congrats on Dabo’s first win in Williams Brice.

Me too. Never for one second nervous yesterday. Clemson took care of things when they needed to. Watson has to be the calmest and most talented QB I have seen in a long time. If he plays like he did yesterday, the Tarholes have no chance. We played way too conservative for a lot of the game. Not near as agreessive as we played the other 11. I think we were expecting to cruise in there, and instead we had to pedal the gas a bit. You only saw flashes of what we could do. Next week it’s full air patrol with lots of ground support.

They’ll be playing next week like it’s their last game of the season. Kind o

Good ole Fritz still on the hunt for that perfect officiated game. You should be looking for Ws next to USuC. I hear they are even harder to find.

If we make the playoffs...

We wouldn’t lose to Citadel. Y’all played up…way up. Congrats on 3 wins

Don’t be so fast to think that CU would not struggle with The Citadel triple option…

Pretty sure we already beat a much tougher triple option this year. Just sayin…

Officials missed calls on 3 of 4 drives for the cocks in the 1st quarter. And yes I expect more from them.

But we wouldn't lose...at home

Typically, between power 5 teams, it is the visiting teams field officials and the home teams review officials. No reason to think this was not the case yesterday.

Unfortunately imperfect officiating is a part of the game and one that isn’t likely to change. I can’t think of the best way to address it. Do you fine officials after the fact? Cut games worked? Establish review for penalties? If you do that can the booth now throw a flag on a non-call? Give flags to the coaches and let the booth review those plays?

Edit: Also, go Tigers!

y'all get that and you still would have lost, one blown call didn't decide the outcome yesterday. Clemson was never behind in the score, how did a blown call keep them in the game?

Why did he still not catch the ball? It is practically in his hands. This stuff happens multiple times in EVERY game. It’s sad to think folks think a few calls would have made a difference. Clemson took this game as “business as usual” and got things done when it really mattered. It’s tough to be jacked the entire game for an opponent that is 3-8 and just lost to the Citadel.

Fritz, since you are so good at catching high res stills from the game. Can you get me a good shot of Watson leaping into the end zone. A shot of his “dab” TD celebration would be a bonus. My son wants it to put on his wall.:sunglasses:

First play from scrimmage is a bomb for a touchdown, no wait, clemson gets away with holding and then the cocks end up punting, next series, same thing, series after that, another missed pass interference, clemson kids are loving it, they are untouchable. Later in the game when the cocks are battling and force a turnover, hold on, let’s review that and give the ball back to clemson. It wasn’t just one play there were several. In the 12th game of the season you would think the officials would be a little sharper at their job. We won’t even discuss the block in the back on one of dw’s touchdowns that was discussed at length by the announcers on tv complete with telestrator circles. Good luck tiger fans you obviously need it.

Whatever helps you sleep at night.

Maybe if the Cocks wouldn’t have allowed so much separation, they could have gotten away with the same type calls. The world may never know.

Carolina’s DB’s think they are playing tight if they are 5 yards away. I hope whoever the HC is, that he gets a DB coach that can actually coach DB’s how to cover. Ours have been abysmal the last few years.

Officials review their own games after each game as well as the main office. They are critiqued pretty hard and are penalized by not getting the big games, which is better money. I think they do the best they can as there is only so much a human can do at those fast paces. That is what replay is for, but even then some mistakes are going to be made. I think we all would have a better appreciation for what they do if we had to call a game one time!

It is not as easy as catching bid reds at the Grillage or bonnetheads!!
