Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.
Didn’t watch the game…went dove hunting instead. Reviewed the stats in the paper. Clemson 4 sacks, USC 0. Watson 20 for 27 and 279 yards, 114 rushing…4 touchdowns. Wayne Gallman 102 yards rushing. Clemson 9 of 13 on 3rd down conversions, USC 6 of 15. Clemson 515 yds. total offense, USC 402.
You don’t get those stats without superior line play. Clemson whipped USC at the line of scrimmage. USC played 2 deep saftey’s mostly the whole game, and Watson carved them up underneath, over the top, and ran all over them. Clemson NEVER trailed in the game. Clemson put Wilds out of the game early (USC 181 rushing yds). USC got some good catch and run offense from Cooper(76 yds. total) and Samuel (104 yds. total), and Nunez showed his value (75 yds. total). Clemson ICED THE GAME late in the 4th, and gave up a junk TD with time running out to make it LOOK closer than it ever was. I hope all of you Gamecock fans took the points and bet the mortgage payment. You’ve got plenty of time to take a vacation, spend your winnings, and “wait till next year”. I wouldn’t doubt that Dabo helps SE get a job. Heck he may even hire him to help him out.
