The real question is what were the circumstances before the excellent tackling skills on the ref… The technique was stellar. Did the pony tail ref dude blow a huge call during the game that deserved a little street justice? Were they instructed from the head coach to perform text book tackling on the ref in case he would question whether there had illegally hit another player? Taking one clip of footage is not a way to determine what really happened. Was it extreme, yes. Are half those candy ass refs a bunch of jerk wods, yes. If that ref had not blown a call to date, based on him laying on his heels, he was a prime candidate to do so in the future. The ref was not engaged in the game. The runner was headed off the left side. The direct angle of pursuit for the first defensive player was justified. A little love tap in the end by the second player sealed the deal. That’s the way football was meant to be played. Ref, get off MY field.
Think about it. Officials are the only vertical neutral object on the legal playing field that are considered to be the field… Once cameras get more prolific and enhanced, there are many arguments to get the officials OFF the field.
The obvious first and easiest eliminations are the back judge and umpire spots.
Black on Back Judge crime is all it was…

Mack Breed, an assistant coach at John Jay High School in San Antonio, told his school principal that he ordered his players to hit a referee in a Sept. 4 game out of anger that the official used racist language, according to a letter obtained by ESPN’s Outside the Lines.
The coach admitted he “directed the students to make the referee pay for his racial comments and calls.” ESPN reported the referee, Robert Watts, “used the N-word twice during the game, once before and once after the infamous hits, and also used language offensive to Hispanics.”
On Wednesday, 15-year-old John Jay sophomore Victor Rojas and 17-year-old senior Michael Moreno each will attend disciplinary hearings for ramming into Watts.
They alleged the official directed racial slurs at them and their coach told them to do take out the ref.
Northside Independent School District Superintendent Brian T. Woods says the assistant football coach accused of suggesting the students retaliate against the official has been placed on leave.
Woods also says the district will file a complaint about the racial slur allegation with the Texas Association of Sports Officials.
The incident, captured on video, happened during a game Sept. 4 between John Jay and Marble Falls High School, north of San Antonio.

RBF should apologize

I feel like they could have revenge tackled him a little less blatantly.

I call a late hit penalty on the second kid. Anyway you look at it, hitting a guy with no protection like they did was wrong no matter what he said. Teaching a kid that is something someone says to you is offensive so try to hurt them is ok. Where do you draw the line. A hit on a football field, a club, knife, gun. Teach them there are idiots in the world everywhere and you just have to understand that. After the game get the guy fired or whatever. Bad decision by the coach to tell the kids to do this.
Hmmm, Was he trying to protect the kids earlier or is he trying to protect himself now?

PP are you smart ass profiling me?
You may enjoy the hugging tackle style that includes rolling around on the ground with unknown strangers.
I will present the proper form of tackling.

The subsequent 15 yard penalty due to excessive Butkus only demonstrates the Michael Sam technique of huggin’ the target, then draggin them to the ground, and wishing others would pile on, so one can garner a quick grope, only provides weirdo’s a reason to play ball.
Run thru the target, and the target will remember the object that inflicted pain, and will be wary of battle again.
