How about Christian Mccaffery. Kid is unbelievable. He and deshaun are the two best players in the country. Henry with 80 carries in two games is a joke. You could put 5 RBs in his place who would do just as well behind that line.
#4 takes it.

If the Heisman is for the best player, that means the most to the success of their team, them McCaffery, Watson and Reynolds should be ahead of Henry.
Watson has a good shot at it but, I have a feeling Henry gets it.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Really hoping Reynolds at least makes it to the final three

The Heisman Committee has become politicized. Sports media is very liberal, and they would never promote someone of Reynolds character, in spite of his prolific accomplishments. Reynolds makes Obama look like the communist traitor that he truly is. Put those two side by side and Obama looks like a mug shot, and Reynolds look like a warrior Commander-In-Chief. The Heisman Trophy used to mean something about ideals, sportsmanship, leadership, and accomplishment. Now the liberal sports media has turned it into a circus event with clowns jumping through rings of real fire, garish outfits, and hours of blather and boast. I know I’m dreaming, but I would love to see Reynolds fly in on a Marine helicopter after whipping Army, wearing his dress blues and saluting the nation with the trophy under his arm. (**() if I wouldn’t think we’ve got a chance to be a great nation again watching that. Watson can wait his turn and win it next year.

Not sure if a Sophomore has ever won ??? Could he win more than once??
Official finalists are Henry, McCaffrey and Watson. If you look at the entire body of work and who is the best player, there is no doubt. Deshaun Watson is the best in the country. PERIOD.

Winston and Johnny Football were freshman.
Tebow and Sam Bradford were sophomores… There might be a few more too.
And yes, you can win the trophy more than once, but only Archie ever did it.
In their championship game henry had 2 more yards on nearly 20 more carries than wayne…just saying
I do not think he will win, but Clemson would not be 13-0 without D Watson! He is really special.

You gotta love the South Carolina Lowcountry.
Didn’t Henry break the SEC single season record over Walker, but it took 2 extra games? I think Walker averaged like 170-180 a game all year. No way Henry averaged that nor is better than Walker.

Of those players? I’d agree. But be clear, the Heisman does not go to the “best” player and hasn’t for a long time. A pure defensive player has never won in the modern era, but nobody would argue Watson is a better player than Joey Bosa. Likewise, Watson and Mccaffery have had fantastic years but even at QB less good than Paxton Lynch.
The Heisman basically goes to the most noticeable player on a highly ranked team preferably from a power 5 conference. Ideally from a historically important program, and according to the Heisman trust character is just as important as performance. But you can overlook character if it’s convenient (see Newton, Winston, and Manziel).
Watson meets the criteria as well as anyone this year, but the award is hardly equivalent to the college football MVP award it’s sold as, so he shouldn’t lose too much sleep if he doesn’t win this joke award.

That’s adorable.
McCaffrey deserves it. Henry only does 1 thing. He does it well, but McCaffrey does every (**() thing.

Henry vs. Watson looks a lot like the Eddie George vs. Tommie Frazier race. Difference being Watson played a strong full season healthy so should come away with the win.
Clemson could have a similar story line. Let Watson get snubbed for the Heisman. We’ll go on to win a National title, then be the dominant team in 2016 for a repeat. Kind of like the 94/95 Huskers. Oh, they hadn’t had a title since 1971 when they won in 94, kind of like us since 1981.
Let the domination begin!
One can only hope, right?

I think he would be happy with this ultimately. Watson has had some spurts of bad decisions this year, but it seems to me that he is in an elite category of guys in the 4th quarters of his game. I have seen a few of these guys play in person- from how they act on the sideline to how they act on the field late in a game. It’s like they are unstoppable no matter what happens, and it is something to behold. Matt Ryan, Russell Wilson, Phillip Rivers… you could be up by 14 on them in the 3rd quarter, and it wouldn’t mean anything. They were going to pick you apart somehow late in the game.
If you watch all these players this year, Reynolds and McCaffrey jump out at you the most. When it comes to a team owing its success to a single player moreso than anyone else though, I’m not sure if Henry and Watson don’t fit there. They seem to always come through late in a game.

Watson is now getting a ton of hype. SI, CBS, Fox sports all projecting him for the heisman. Even some ESPN analysts like Kannel and Pollock
