Please state the requirement for a 12 year old? I will take the intellect test, and we can judge from there…

Seriously, perhaps, I do have a 12 year old intellect and just don’t know it…

I can’t get better intellectually, unless you help me…

back to the OP topic…

salty is correct again…

ding, ding, ding…

Les is stuck in the past.

LSU has not had a big name QB in a long time. LSU has an elite running game but a non existent passing game. Shut the run down and you beat them. Les Miles is old school. That offense will not work in the SEC. I hope Carolina does not consider him. Ed Ogeron is who does all the recruiting for LSU. He is the best recruiter in the nation.

Les Miles is 62?

I thought all the talk is about young dudes who can relate with todays 18-20yr olds?

Not arguing just asking, who was the last “big time” QB for LSU? Have they EVER had one?

JaMarcus Russell

Isn’t Kevin Steele the DC at LSU? The same Kevin Steele who authored Clemson’s defense for West Virginia’s Orange Bowl dismantling of CU?

Yes

Kevin Steele is awful. He is going to get Les fired.

Since Steele got they have lost more games each season, and the points scored on the defense has steady gone up. I wonder why LM has kept him around? Actually, I wondered why he hired him in the first place.

Matt Flynn was decent. Made the NFL as a 2nd stringer.

Kevin Steele just came to LSU this year, but yes you have to wonder why they hired him to start with. Losing Chavis was big.

http://www.nola.com/lsu/index.ssf/2015/01/lsu_fans_getting_bent_over_kev.html

LSU had just hired Alabama linebackers coach Kevin Steele as defensive coordinator to replace Texas A&M bound John Chavis, who physically left the Tigers following the Music City Bowl loss to Notre Dame after he mentally checked out the week before.

Reaction was swift and unforgiving from some Tigers’ fans. They were hopeful Miles was about to steal Crimson Tide defensive coordinator Kirby Smart, Nick Saban’s golden goose, but instead settled for Foghorn Leghorn.

Guess we’ll know this time next year whether Miles got a bargain when he dipped into the discount bin to hire Steele, who was making a mere $700,000 in his second tour of duty on Saban’s staff.

The first one didn’t end well. After Saban’s first season at Alabama in 2007 when Steele was defensive coordinator, Saban gave him a so-called promotion. He upped Steele’s salary by $10,000, changed his title to associate head coach for the 2008 season and gave the D-coordinator job to Smart.

When Steele saw the handwriting on the wall and left for Clemson’s defensive coordinator opening, Saban didn’t sound overly worried at the time shifting into the spin cycle.

“Continuity is great,” Saban said. “But also when you do have change, there are some tremendous benefits to that in terms of new experience, new ideas, new enthusiasm. It’s probably inevitable that there will be some change.”

Steele lasted three seasons at Clemson from 2009 to 2011 before being fired days after West Virginia rang up a 70-33 Orange Bowl victory on the Tigers.

If Les leaves LSU, I wouldn’t count out Lane Kiffin being interested in the job. BWAHAHAHA, snort!

That would be a hoot!

OK, I will give that one since he made it and started in the pros for quick minute. Still not what I would consider big time though.

CRM, never heard of or can’t remember any Matt Flynn. That makes him ineligible! LOL

The best thing Smart or Kiffin could do is ride that gravy train as long as Saban will keep them around. LSU’s going for a home-run hire, someone that can beat Saban, that’s the goal. Problem is, there aren’t many out there that can do that with any regularity.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Here, I fixed that for Ya!

I mean, it would be the 3rd used-to-be-great head coach USC would pick up in a row?

I think the recruiting war is going to require younger blood.
