Thanks, but no thanks.
That would be priceless.
I wonder if he would still get any recruits from Texas having been pretty connected there?
There you go, no need to get one almost at the end of his career, just go ahead and hire one that’s already been run off as a washed up has been.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

salty,
Have a lot of fun on this site reading your posts about football and fishing.
Witty and sometimes, well, controversial regarding USC…
If you were in Tanner’s shoes, who would you hire?
I know you are all in with Dabo, I get it. He is successful.
Who would you not like to see as Carolina’s next coach?
Who are you most uncomfortable with?
I’ll forward it to Ray…
This will not be honest.
He hates Carolina…
You want someone that’ll build a program, quit shooting for the moon and get these big names out of your head. Get someone that has the drive and hunger to be successful. I’ve already said who I’d hire/pursue relentlessly. Fuentes.

It’s Fuente, not Fuentes.
Thank you for your expertise.
And he is a possibility…
We have until after January bowl games to make a choice…
There are a lot of possibilities…
Why would you choose him above all others?
I just read his bio…
Meh…
But, you may be right…
I agree we someone young and with passion and drive and hunger…
We will see…
As you well know, we need a recruiter.
Thanks for your reply.
Every good coach had a resume’ that was “meh” at one time. Look at what he’s done at Memphis since he took over, they were awful before.
There’s a lot of big names out of work right now and a few more that’ll fall after the season. Fuente is going to be a hot name for a lot of those openings.

Was Dabo a hot name when he took over? Spurrier did this for a reason and that was to give Elliot the same opportunity as Dabo. He knew Elliot would never get considered if he did not have the opportunity to win as a HC. Plain and simple. Dabo would not be where he is today without that opportunity. The keys to success are preparedness and opportunity. Spurrier forced the hand for Elliot to have that opportunity.
Your position previously was that HBC would linger and drag the program down. Perhaps you should re-evaluate your abilities as a clairvoyant… You prolly never saw Dabo coming either. Everyone needs a break to make it, and we’ll see if Elliot can make some headway with it, or not. He sure as heck is more qualified to take it over than Dabo. If it works out, he’ll never leave like Dabo will when the opportunity presents itself…

Take care Mark, appreciate your input.
Hope you are yours are well.

How do you figure that? SOS had better talent at UF and managed one NC in what 12 years? Dabo went from a receivers coach to a HC overnight, he’s learned the ropes along the way. And I’d say he’s a pretty good coach of you measure success by who he’s beaten of late, who’s to say he won’t win a NC one day at CU. And if you’re talking about talent at Sakkerliner, SOS had a lot of it in the glory 1/2 decade but couldn’t win an SEC Championship, got embarrassed in the only one they played in. Hell, half your fans are clamoring for one of his assistants to come coach the chickens. Which one do you want more, the HS coach turned OC or the fired DC that put together the No.1 defense in the nation last year and has a top 10 defense this year with all new players.
Be proud of what SOS did those 5 good years but realize he didn’t do crap the last 2 to keep it going for his successor. There may be less talent on that team than when Holtz took over.
Now you go get your Pom poms ready and cheer those Irish on, we need them to win games, not tank like normal.

Obviously, your too emotional to reason, so I’ll leave this one alone. But please remember, when it comes to tanking, Clemson is the school with the official term named after it:
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Clemsoning
http://campuspressbox.com/2014/clemsoning-newest-trend-clemson-football/
The term will stick with Clemson forever, whether it happens in the future, or not.
