NC state was silly for not calling a timeout. Yeah, officials got it wrong, but state needs to help themselves out.
I agree. But that should have been stopped and reviewed by the booth. I don’t think State would have won, but notice how the momentum changed because of 1 bad call. Fumble. Missed field goal. Momentum is huge is a game like this.

Kudos to State for playing until the end. Didn’t work out for them, but I like to see the kids playing until zero instead of taking a knee at the end.

Good question on the reason. They said something like it could be reviewed after 5 yards. Huh? But they didn’t explain it anymore than that.

It was blown dead the moment the official threw his hat to mark it out of bounds. Its the rule and as the photo above shows it wouldn’t have been overturned. Clemson played about as poorly as they have in two seasons on offense and still won. Gotta win ugly and get some breaks along the way. Has Sakkerliner ever won an ugly one? You know where your rival fans make comments like awful quiet here or they got robbed on that call?
Glad they won and pissed they didn’t kick the field goal, not sure why they didn’t. It wasn’t like NCST was going to score 12 in 33 seconds and they sure wouldn’t have scored 15. I also keep hearing if that call had been reviewed, it would have been a different game. Yep, would have been a different game had Watkins and Bryant hauled in those 4 bombs Boyd threw their way too. Its football, with 18-22yo kids, things happen.
