Recruiting Violations/ USC jr?

GW - That’s beautiful work right there!

You know I do hear often Stanford being talked about in the same conversation as So Cal and ND when it comes to national dominance throughout history.

Bang, you know exactly what I mean when I say “nobody”. There’s an insignificant amount of people that know about a USC women’s equestrian, bass fishing championship, or basket weaving. I’m sure some of the championships you are referencing might be more obscure than intramural championships on campus. And you can be proud of the women’s championships as much as you want but the cold hard truth is that their sports (except for MAYBE WBB and that’s a long shot) exist solely because of title 9. They are funded almost completely by football and men’s basketball aka the significant sports. They are so insignificant the government forced them to exist.

If you don’t believe me go around at USC or Maryland and ask who won the 1985 chess national championship or 1977 badminton championship. Then follow that up with “would you trade a women’s basketball championship for a SEC championship in football?”. With it not even being a natty I think you would get an overwhelming amount of fans wanting only football wins.

But hey man you keep telling yourself that everybody is jealous of that three legged race championship in 1955.

First, Most, Biggest

Man, all of those big words and STILL none of them discount the fact that those championships still exist. You said it yourself…"…their sports (except for MAYBE WBB and that’s a long shot) exist</font id=“red”> solely because of title 9."…“They are so insignificant the government forced them to exist</font id=“red”>.” Thanks for proving my point. One question though, if USC’s nattys are irrelevant, or whatever word you use to ignore them, why are you so bent out of shape about USC having more NT’s than Clemson, aga

Are any of the gamecock coaches going to be run out of town over these violations, a la Danny, let’s grow some hemp, Ford?

“Run out of town”? Coach Ford’s marijuana farm is going to be right off hwy. 28 (Clemson Boulevard) near Clemson University. Prime agricultural property. Not sure the sand flats surrounding Columbia, and the USC campus are nearly as conducive, for a marijuana crop? Either way, I’m sure the students of both Institutes of Higher Learning await the fruits of his endeavor with baited breath…

Was Danny not run out of Clemson in the early 80’s?

I don’t think so. I’m thinking he retired from coaching and has lived on his farm off hwy. 28 ever since?

Also, if I remember correctly, the “violations” that took Coach Ford out were local, and nothing to do with the NCAA.

Ford resigned
