I was just reading an article on it. Apparently Notre Dame football is the only sport not in the ACC (kind of like with ND was in the Big East). Notre Dame football is part of the “non-BCS bowl package” for the ACC (whatever that means). From what I could tell, Notre Dame (football) is still making bank from it’s own TV contract and they didn’t want to take that pay cut by joining the ACC. I guess if you have that kind of clout you might as well use it. Sucks for the ACC because adding Notre Dame would be a boost for the conference’s credibility. That is, if they could have the same success on the field against the other ACC teams.

Even though there are 1200 coaching jobs open in the SEC, The acc was really a dumpster fire behind Clemson this year.

You know, if the Outback Bowl and Citrus was played when they normally are, this doesn’t really hold any water. The CFP was played on New Years Eve last year, does that mean it sucked over the NY Day Bowls? The whole playing on NY Day thing doesn’t mean what it used to.
Cotton, Orange, and Fiesta are not on NY Day, so not sure what you are really bragging about.
