Because rankings don’t mean much until after all the games have been played. By now we should have a pretty good idea, but we’re not there yet. Also, spreads are just for bookies to make sure they make money no matter how it shakes out.

Unless you are playing for a national championship bowl game results really don’t mean anything. They are a great way to get more practice time and get a head start on developing next years players. If Clemson or South Carolina lose their bowl games it will not mean much of anything to me.
this is true, very true, and it is crazy with the amount of money that the bowls pay, I, even a Tiger fan, think its crazy they will get $17 million VS. USC $4.5 million, but as a Tiger fan, I’m glad!

You do know that the bowl money is pooled together and the distributed to the teams in the conference don’t you? And the “coots” are playing in the highest paying non bcs bowl there is. So technically the SEC schools should end up with more $$$ then the cupcake conference

Hey Fritz, ACC has 11 teams in bowls, 2 in BCS. SEC has 9 in bowls, 2 in BCS. Don’t really know, but money wise it should put th ACC ahead.

To answer the question, Wisconsin runs the ball with some big, strong, fast backs. They have a great O-line too. Sakkerliner hasn’t exactly stopped the run well this year. They’ll run it right at Clowney knowing he’ll over pursue and eat up big chunks against the SC LB’s. USC has to throw the ball to win but Wisconsin has a good pass rush. Ball control type game. If USC can get up 2 or 3 scores early they win.
