Need a young coach who wants to win. Haven’t heard anything about Dabo but wouldn’t mind seeing Strong coming to SC. Heard Skip Holtz was also a possibility but who knows. http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=13687041 anyone who is younger and wants to win

Why in the world would you want another coach that only has a few good years left in the tank? It happened with Lou and now with SOS, they get old and can’t do the job to get players.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

After watching Spurrier postgame I have come full circle on this and think it is time to move on. He has done great things at the university and was paid well to do so, but he looks and sounds like he regrets coming back this season. Cutcliffe is a great coach, but too old. Chip Kelly when the Eagles fire him at the end of this season. I called it with Spurrier when he was with the Redskins, let’s see if I can get it right two times.
I heard yesterday, from a reputable person in the know, that USC had offered Spurrier Jr. a job outside of coaching but the salary was a big drop from his $325k he gets a year now and he didn’t take it.
Was that clearing the way for papa to go…maybe so, time will tell.
Spurrier has done a lot for USC. But he has been way off the mark the last couple years. He said he owed Thompson the playing time he gave him last year but a lot of people wanted to see the rebuilding starting then but its hard with the last couple of recruiting years. Clemson has spent $1.5 million more than USC in the last 5 years and it showing. UGa spends $600k a year, USC spend $250k. Alabama and Aub spend just under $1million per year.
Spurrier Jr. is supposed to be our south florida recruiting expert? I don’t think we’ve had even a 4 star recruit come out of south Fl.

“If he had the option of South Carolina or Tennessee however, I?d lean toward him choosing the Vols with a better ?win-now? likelihood.”
Do you guys really think SOS steps down after this year?

He has to finish it first.
I don’t UT is looking. the best thing for that program is to stick with a coach for a longer period of time. Plus they are greatly improved.
I’m not sure HBC will step down although i’m sure he will be pressured to. Like i have said over and over. I would think an OC would be a good transition for USC. I would love to see Kelly come to USC. I like the faster pace he plays.
Maybe Kelly would come in as OC in a HCIW situation for a year or 2.
Kelly would not come in as OC. Way too much ego for that. I was half joking when I said it, but would love to see it. I did say it about spurrier back in the day and everyone thought that was crazy, but money talks. I think if things do not improve Spurrier would step down.
Ego is a big thing for these guys, but money is a huge motivator.
Another thing about this. Now that Nunez is starting, he is a very mobile QB. he would fit very nicely in a Kelly offense.
