So Who's Getting the Job?

1 7-6 season and a rough start after half a decade of relative greatness, and you guys are already throwing the greatest coach in South Carolina history out the door.

I don’t believe Spurrier is going anywhere for several years. I for one appreciate what he has been able to do at South Carolina when no one else has come close in 100 years. I would support an offensive coordinator hire for next season, but I don’t think that’s likely. If we don’t make a bowl game this year, my guess is the AD would try to go after a good OC and keep Spurrier on. Weather or not he would stay if his hand were forced, I don’t know. He has an ego certainly, but that’s what has made him a winner all his life. Its that drive that has brought success.

Spurrier has plenty of clout around the university and needs to stick around. The boosters love him and make no mistake, college football is about MONEY. Keep the donors happy and the money keeps flowing.

Donors love seeing him lose? Doubt that. The money will stop if the losing continues,no matter how much they "love" Spurrier.

I laugh at you people thinking Chip Kelly is coming to Sakkerliner. When they say USC, they’re talking about the other one, in California. Kelly would take a PAC12 job over the SEC any day of the week and So. Cal would pay a premium to get him.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

If that’s the case, my prediction of 10 straight for Clemson may actually be a bit longer. This season isn’t going to help any on the recruiting front. Keep on losing and it gets even worse. Spurrier is a big boy, fire his ass and get someone else in there. Then again, y’all have a 90’ Fathead of the man in front of the stadium and most of you worship him. On second thought, keep him.

Clemson won’t get to five straight. That’s a streak that Carolina will hang on to for years to come buddy. I know it pains you…

I don’t think Kelly would come to USC, but I would like it if he did.
My wife wants us to get Kliff Kingsbury, but that has nothing to do with football

Lane Kiffin will be the hot name if Bama rebounds and wins the West (again), SEC (again), and contends for the Nat. Championship (again)

I like him a lot more after hearing his comments about Arkansas’s coach…did you see that press conference? It was pretty great.

I don’t know how he would ever be a hot name again. I think he will be an OC for the rest of his life or HC at a small school. How could you ever trust that guy after what he did at his previous stops?

Technical Question: If you have him on “Ignore”, how did you see what he wrote to make you chuckle? Just admit it,you still peek and you can’t quit him!! :sunglasses:

He easily has two more years.
