This will be Tanner’s biggest “test” as an AD. Surprised Spurrier quit in the middle of the season, he should suffer through it just like the rest of us and the team.

I don’t see Tanner firing the best coach USC had ever had in the middle of the season. Think he would have waited and all signs point to him quitting on the team.
He was telling one of the golf channel’s interviewers after a golf tourney that he wanted to say he was never fired from a job. That was this past summer I think. I tried to find the video but haven’t been successful yet. I will if I find it. If it wasn’t that, then he just didn’t want Swinney catching up with him on the head to head record!! 
Seriously, I have always liked SOS, even with Florida. I liked the whole “our job is to score and your job is to stop us” mentality. I liked his quotes to other rival teams when he was winning to egg on the rivalries. On top of that, he was a great coach and great player! One of the best for college football has called it quits and I will miss him. I do wish he would finished the year though. That was disappointing. Hope he is ok health wisw and wish him the best. Maybe we will see him as an analyst, but I don’t think he a good enough mouth filter for that!!
