I’m not so sure Dabo would take that job. With the exception of his gremlin in USC, he’s got it pretty darn good. He’s not on the hot seat exactly yet though it is getting warm. James Franklin would go in a second, too (**() hard to win much of anything at Vandy. Listening to talk radio these people seem to think Jimbo Fisher and Gus Malzahn would drop everything and come there. Doubt that would happen, they got a better shot at Saban at this point.
It’ll be interesting to see who they get.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I think James Franklin would be a good choice. Half of Vandy’s team was arrested …That is a bad sign. Vince Young is available. The Packers cut him. He is a Texas legend.
James Franklin would be good, but I don’t think he is a big enough name for Texas. I would think they would look at Morris before Dabo. And why would Dabo leave, he has it pretty good. Being co-champs year after year and it is hard to be on the hot seat.
Fisher is in the same spot as Dabo. Pretty easy conference to win in. Texas would bring so much stress and scrutiny.
Gus is an interesting one. He has 1 year as HC and in in the NC game. If they win…Go out with a bang. I mean, if he is not in the NC game from here on out, it will be a failed year.
Honestly, I think they could end up with a not-so-big-name because the pressure and all the crap could be to much for others…But Money talks…
Personally I think they’ll find someone from the NFL. Might be two or three weeks before they make a hire though. Can’t imagine this would be a rush job.
I keep hearing that this coach “will not leave” or that coach “will not leave”. One thing y’all are evidently missing is that if Texas really wants a coach, nothing will convince that coach to make that move more than the words “10 years and 100 million dollars”!! I know it probably will not be quite that much. The point is that Texas can and will make the deal as sweet as it needs to be to get the coach that they want. That is why I don’t think coaches like Jimbo Fischer, Gus Malzahn, etc are not out of it until the decision is made.
