Already here:smiley: If the weather holds we are going to try Sat or Sun
Inshore? Offshore?
Unless it’s ridiculously windy, I’m going to go out in the creeks on Saturday.
Going out with a guide on Sunday to get some tips and learn some spots around Edisto. I’m hoping that I can learn a bunch that I can apply when I go out by myself. I almost never catch fish when I go out alone or with a buddy, so I’m investing in this guide to help get me in the right direction.

I appreciate it. That’s awfully nice of you. However, I’m going to stick with the creeks this time . I’ve got to be in Charleston for a basketball game by late afternoon, so I’ve got to watch the clock on Saturday.
I’ve never actually been offshore, believe it or not…would love to some time, though…I’m relatively new to this. I bought a house down there almost 4 years ago, and just got my first boat last May, so I’m still learning the waters and what to do.

Not a problem man…offer is always there if the wx is good and my boat always goes with me…I am new to the offshore scene also and hope to be learning alot this weekend. Bottom fishing is a specialty of mine and I want to learn more. My group will be, like I said earlier, at the Dockside by 10:00pm Friday night and if you get out just holla the town name of Winnsboro and I guarentee someone will hear you.

E9871, by the way , if you want to learn more of the inshore area around Edisto, I have a friend that would love to show you some places that just retired to the island. I can hook you up with him this weekend if you want.Shoot me an E mail and if he is there I will hook you up with him as long as he is there.

Holy cow, that would be great. I’ve been out a bunch since I got my boat (as much as I can, being that I live 235 miles away in Greenville), but I cannot seem to catch fish very much at all.
I’ll send you a PM.

Hey Margaret Jane I will be glad to tell the bartender you are “on the way”.![]()
We had planned on going there tonight to prepare for this weekend also. We will be bottom fishing to. Hey e9871 I will be glad to let you in on a few inshore spots. just shoot me an e-mail.
Trying to decide Sat or Sun. This weather is hard to follow. What ya think EF? You are the weatherman. Seas better sat or sun?
Hey u winnsboro boys. Take it easy on C Knight.
I know he tries to play that kuntry boy stuff, but he’s really a city slicker.
PLus don’t get him hooked on fishin it might cut into his golf game.
Baycreek
Let me know what u guys catch.
We took it easy on C Knight , he was good on the Water yesterday we just didnt catch anything other then sharks. Then again I did catch a heck of a hangover after Whaleys last night. Baycreek, you see those boys at Dockside last night? They said someone was asking about the Winnsboro boys…and I aint talking bout the police.

I was @ Whaleys last night from 10:30 or so until 11:45, then went over to Dockside until at 1:30. There were a few cuties floating around in there…not that I was looking or anything.
Good time @ Edisto. BTW, that was not me asking about the Winnsboro boys. Must have been somebody else.
Caught a 20" trout this morning, and a 31" redfish. It was COLD first thing this morning on the water. Brrrrrrrr.
Baycreek: Were you down there, too?

No unfortunately I was not. I took my daughter to the Marionette theatre for a puppet show birthday party, so you all can imagine how envious I was of all of you being at Edisto.
I"m heading down next weekend because of a homeowners meeting, but have to get back to a pigroast in St. George Sat afternoon so I won’t get to go fishin.
Plus I wish it would warm up a little bit;however great job on the trout and red, were you alone or was this the guide trip. Keep in touch and we’ll get together again when we’re both down there. Next time I will have beer in the boat.
Dockside and Whaleys??? Someone told me those two spots were great places to catch crabs…Is that true?
I steered clear of the “crabs” at Whaleys and Dockside. LOL.
I just found out I’m going back again this weekend. I’m bringing my son, along with a friend of mine and his son. Looking forward to getting out on the water again.
Yes, that trip was the guide trip. It was fairly informative. I’m not sure it was worth $400, but it was informative. I am glad I did it.

Were you there at Whaleys when the band quit playing at last call? Just curious if I saw you there. I was watching all the folks dancing, etc.

I was at Whaleys both Friday and Saturday night. Saturday was an early night for me at the retirement party…man those were good oysters…and my old best friend Jim Beam made me go home early ![]()
