I’m so glad for a great defense. I see a lot of times when Stoudt didn’t have any protection at all, so I can’t blame him too much, but dammit man, throw it like you mean it when you do. If we had an offensive line, we would be a very good team.

Flipping channels between Carolina/Auburn and Clemson/Syracuse, there was no comparison to the levels of football being played.
Looked like high school on ESPN while the SEC network had big boy football.
Now I understand why you Clemson guys feel so inadequate and constantly lash out at your in state rival.

I mean I understand the fevor of all the orange and how the running down the hill can get the fan base pumped, but seriously, what a typical lame game in the valley.
Wow. Watching a kid play pitch and catch up and down the field on a god awful defense is “big boy football”??? I didn’t watch the game but didn’t carolina give up somwhere close to 300 on the ground? Big boy football hahaha your so funny.
Where were you the last 3 or 4 years? The tables have turned and now the ACC has some good defenses (not Syracuse by the way), and the SEC has some bad defenses. I watched enough of the Carolina/Auburn game to see there wasn’t much defense being played. I’m not bashing the coots, they played a good game and could have come away with another huge win.
Oh and to your first question, yes, as a Clemson fan, that game was exciting to watch, just extremely frustrating when our offense has the ball. I hope DW makes a full recovery in time for the GT game. At least he can throw the ball accurately.

Even Clemson fans have to admit that was a dry game with not a lot of excitement. It’s not a big deal, all teams have those games where points are hard to come by. The only thing that matters is the W, but yes those games aren’t that fun to me to watch. I think what everyone realizes at this point, if you haven’t already, is that Clemson is a very vanilla team without Watson. Stout has regressed I think since week one.
The SC\Auburn game was a great one to watch. Pay for the whole seat but you’ll only need the edge type of game. I’ll take the boring game with a W over the exciting forth quarter loss anytime.

Clemson has a great defense? Was not so great against UGA. FSU did not have Jameis. The Gamecocks will score 40+ on your “great” defense. Problem is the Tiggers will score just as much. Funny how college football is. The Gamecocks have generally had a great defense and a not so great offense. We finally have a great offense and have one of the worst defenses in the nation:face_with_head_bandage:. Dylan Thompson showed flashes of brilliance followed by 4 or 5 wtf was he thinking plays. Missed several easy slant route passes to Cooper and Little Nicky. We could have won but bad throws cost them.

I definitely agree with all of that. It’s funny how much difference a year makes. It’s a shock to the system right now for me to see Clemson having trouble scoring points. I love the way the defense is playing, it reminds me of how the defenses were when I was a kid in the 80’s and 90’s.
